I thought that the mystery was all right. I liked that Karen and her classmates gave Ms. Coleman and Mrs. Hoffman a surprise party and that Ms. Coleman brought Jane to show her students.

I liked the part when the Three Musketeers narrowed down the suspects using the clues they had. I thought that was pretty smart of kids their ages.

I needed a laugh last night and got one on Pages 63 and 64. Lisa is trying to get Andrew and especially Karen to donate some of the toys they no longer play with to Kristy. Kristy is having a toy sale to raise money for equipment for the Krushers. Anyway one of the things Lisa finds is a cow puppet that Karen had given Andrew as a birthday gift. This is what Andrew tells us about his cow friend. "It's Minnie-Moo!" said Andrew. "She used to moo when you squeezed her. But her mooer broke." We see the puppet's picture on page 64. I thought Andrew's comment was so funny. It also reminded me of when Mimi suggested she make personal sized pizzas for dinner and Claudia said those are called "Mini pizzas." Mimi replied that to her "Minnie," will always be the mouse. I know neither Mimi nor Claudia were in this book and lol a cow puppet is not related to Minnie mouse or pizza but the unexpected connection to Mimi, my favorite BSC character, was most welcome. ETA: Sorry the picture is at the beginning. I did just discover it will enlarge if you click onto it. That way you can fully see Minnie-Moo.

I also remember the Mimi Minnie comment and thought that was cute. Also, since you posted that picture and it (kind of) shows Lisa, I just wanted to mention that I always liked the drawings of her in the Little Sister books because she looks a lot like Karen and Andrew (or should I say, they look a lot like HER).

The ghost writer didn't do their research. Karen says that Bart is in Kristys grade at her school but Bart goes to Stoneybrook Day with Shannon. Kristy goes to public school.

This book was confusing. It was about the Krushers, but half of them were totally new characters that were never mentioned again. It was hard to keep track. I thought they were going somewhere with the two overbearing men in the beginning. (One dad, one older brother.) I like that Kristy just shut them both down and kept going.
David Michael truly had a lot of school problems. Maybe he had ADHD or something.
The culprit was a girl named Barbie. This was strangely the second LS book in a row that I read with a Barbie in it.
I laughed at the difference between Karen’s two families at the game. Lisa and Seth were slumming it on a blanket on the ground. Across the field, the big house family was all in beach chairs.
