I loved Stacey and the mystery at the mall. its one of my fave mysteries in the series even if it is totally unrealistic.
yeah, sure, the BSC can foil an embezzelment scheme at the mall all by themselves. hahahah. but it was great value.
i also liked stacey and the mystery money too. i loved terry in that book, he was so cute but not someone i see stacey dating. maybe maryanne. i loved how his dad was in charge of the whole counterfeiting operation or whatever.
did anyone else like these mysteries besides me??

Love them!
I remember reading the mall one when I was really young and getting sooo scared when the guy in the ski mask walked in on Stacey in the stockroom.
I really liked in Mystery Money when Claudia created big "fake" bills with the kids on one of her sitting jobs and made hers all psychedelic.

I love this one!! One of my favourite mysteries. I'm amazed that they even spotted a mystery, or could help solve it. I work in a shopping centre, and after working for several days in a week, I'm really too tired to notice anything mysterious. Such a great book, though.

I always loved this one too, but the embezzlement mystery part of it never stood out to me...I don;t think I really understood what it was about, and I only really got the part about those kids there. Speaking of which, wasn;t one of them 12 anyway...did she really need 11-year-old Mallory and Jessi trying to rescue her from the mall

Yeah, 'cause Mal and Jessi aren't just 11 year olds, they're 11 year old Super Mature, Super Sitters! They can do anything.

This was one my favourite mysteries too. I think it wasn't so much the mystery part of it as how cool I thought it was that they were working in the mall. The toy store sounded like so much fun! It's also nice to know that if your children are ever abandoned they can live in a mall and only a bunch of 13 year old girls and their super mature 11 year old friends will notice!

How realistic was this book in terms of Project Work? I mean, when I was in high school, we had to do work experience, where you'd just go to a workplace of some sort for a week to see what your dream profession is really like, and I guess this is a similar sort of thing. But still, to have a 13 year old run a cash register and take over while the manager goes on a break? Would that really happen?

But still, to have a 13 year old run a cash register and take over while the manager goes on a break? Would that really happen? Especially with the rash of thefts going on, I think it is too much to expect a 13-year old to do a good job in watching out for them and be able to handle the front by him/herself.

The most unrealistic job was Jessi's. An eleven-year-old usher at a movie theater? Who would to listen to her? A group of teenagers is going to steal her flashlight and stuff her in a garbage can.

I always felt bad for Jessi that she had to work as an usher. Everyone seemed like they were working their "dream" jobs. Even Kristy as a security guard could feel authoritative with her walkie-talkie, and Logan as a cook at Casa Grande could enjoy free food or something. Jessi just sounded mega-bored with her job. If Mary Anne could work at a pet store and Claudia at an art supply store, couldn't she have worked at a place that sold toe shoes or leotards and stuff?

I always wondered about the usher job too. Couldn't the writers have come up with something better for her? I did like the scene of the birthday party, though. Overall, I think this was one of my least favorite mysteries.

Something that just occurred to me about this book: all the jobs, if I remember correctly, are retail-oriented. what if someone at the school doesn't want to work at the freakin' mall as their dream job? What are they supposed to do?
