For some reason I don't see Jenny taking the spoiled-princess road. Jenny will probably be one of those average kids who doesn't really do anything that well, and Mrs. Prezzioso will probably focus her attention on Andrea (who I can see becoming a pageant kid and following that path). Jake Kuhn and Kerry Bruno would end up dating (this assumption is based on nothing but Mary Anne Breaks the Rules, when Jake was hanging around Logan all the time, but I think he and Kerry would be a cute high school couple). He and Buddy would probably stay friends, too. Claire Pike and Myriah Perkins will probably end up becoming two of the more popular girls at SHS: they'll be cheerleaders, be on the swim team, get moderately good grades, be in the spring musical, etc. Suzi Barrett would be one of those girls who constantly followed them around laughing at everything they said. Gabbie would drop that terrible nickname and start going by Gabrielle in junior high. She'd probably end up partying a lot and not making amazing grades, but scraping by and eventually getting into a state school. Charlotte would probably be pretty studious and be in honor society, all AP classes, and as many extracurriculars as she could handle. I can see her and Byron Pike dating for a little bit when she's a sophomore and he's a senior. She'd probably go to Northwestern and come out of her shell a little bit. Becca could probably go either way - I feel like they'd stay friends just for the sake of it, but Becca would definitely be louder and better-liked; Charlotte comes across as one of those people whose shyness is often mistaken for snobbery. Corrie Addison and Nick y Pike hook up; Marilyn Arnold cries into her pillow. On the other side of town, Karen and Pamela Harding will probably chill out around seventh or eighth grade and become friends, but I think there'd still be a competitive edge to their friendship. They'd probably keep Hannie and Jannie around just for the sheer lol-factor of having minions with rhyming names, but lose Nancy and Leslie. I can see them being a bit like Blair and Serena from Gossip Girl once they got into high school: and not just because Blake Lively looks identical to how I picture a grown-up Karen. Ricky and Bobby would hang around with them, and I can see Karen still having a thing for Ricky well into high school. Natalie Springer will probably develop a killer sense of humor in middle/high school to cope with her awkwardness, start writing for the school paper and be in the National Honor Society. I don't really see her as a straight-up geek, just a loner with an acid tongue. Think Tina Fey in high school. She'd go to a nice college and eventually come into her own somewhere around 21 or 22.

LOVE the Karen/Pamela predictions. Blair looks like an older Pamela, too.

If Karen and Pamela end up friends, they'll be laughing forever about the way they used to hate each other. Hannie and Jannie would have to decide they like each other, too.

I don't necessarily think that Vanessa would write poetry, or even edit, for a living. Or maybe I just don't like that idea because it's so predictable. I think, at times, Vanessa could be very bossy and take-charge (such as in Kristy in Charge when she forced her younger siblings to play school with her and blackmailed them into listening to her). I can see her majoring in English in college, or maybe she'd even be a double-major, to hone her creative, communication, and critical-thinking skills. Instead of becoming a writer or teacher, however, she'd then go on to get her MBA and use her skills to work in something like marketing or advertising. She'd impress a prestigious corporation in a big city like New York or Chicago with her ambition, professionalism, and creativity, and earn herself a spot at the company. She'd put her career above all else and very quickly climb the corporate ladder. Vanessa would more than likely still have a passion for poetry, but it would be something she did for fun. Maybe she'd occasionally use her skills as a poet to come up with a unique slogan for whatever she was promoting. Also, I don't think she'd have much desire for children (she's had enough of kids!), but if she did it would definitely be once she was older---maybe in her mid-thirties or so. Just another possibility! I don't think she'd necessarily have a career so closely connected to writing just because she enjoyed it when she was nine.

I always figured once Vanessa actually studied poetry in school and saw how much of it was not about rhyming words that she wouldn't like it as much anyway.

This is fun. I would like to hope that the younger brother "outcasts" (in relation to their siblings would surprise everyone by ending up both happy and successful. I'm mainly thinking of Andrew, David Michael, and Nicky. I never did give thought to how Emily would deal with Nannie's death. If Nannie was 73 when the Series began, by the time Emily arrived, she might have turned 74. If she lived another 10 years, Emily would be 14. All really would depend on if Watson and Elizabeth ever stepped up to love and be parents to EM. If they basically didn't, than heck yeah Emily would be absolutely crushed if/when Nannie died, or even got ill or just was no longer able to take as active a role in E's life as in the past. For some reason, I could also picture, assuming Nannie ever really did move into her own place again and stay there!, that Emily at least for a while might want to move in with her. As for the Pikes' I've always harbored the impression that Jordan will grow up extremely handsome. Can only hope by that time, his heart and way of conduct will have matured as well. Same with Adam but to a lesser extent. Vanessa, if she can establish her own place, identity, she'll do just fine. I think her poetry might be similar to Claudia's art and/or junk food at times. Margo, I feel we never got to know that much about so hard to tell. Claire will be more genuinely outgoing (in a more positive way) Karen. I'm not a Karen fan at all but lol hope if she ever did grow up, I'd be wrong. Aw, sweet about Jamie. I have a feeling in terms of looks, even at 4, he's very good looking and will only become more so as he ages. I know there is a 4 year age difference between him and Charlotte but an eventual romantic pairing between them could make for true love.

I had the biggest book!crush on Jordan when I was younger, so of course I agree. ;D I'm pretty sure I've already said this on the boards before, but I don't think Adam and Jordan were necessarily terrible kids just because they were wild and rambunctious and liked to give their siblings a tough time. I think they were just normal little boys, so to me they were much more appealing to read about than sweet!Charlotte or the perfect Perkins girls. Yes, I think Adam and Jordan would have been wild as teens --- more than likely jerky heart-breakers, although I think that part would be slightly more Jordan than Adam. However, I think they would eventually grow up and mature because, as crazy as the Pikes are, everyone is always nice and supportive of their fellow family members when it counts the most. It's hard (for me) to imagine them turning as total bums. Several books talk about how smart all of the Pikes are, and I remember Adam in particular being very gifted in science. Does anyone think Jordan could possibly turn out to be a cop, or something of that sort? I read the idea once and my first instinct was to laugh (Jordan Pike enforcing the rules instead of breaking them? ), but then I decided I kind of like the idea. I'm not sure if that would be the career I'd pick for Jordan or not, but I can at least see where the idea came from: in #13 he formed SA's; in #57 he was part of the 'Green Police'. Also, he does like being in charge and would probably enjoy his authority. And off-topic, but Jordan has got to have kids when he gets older. In #98, he actually LIKED changing diapers. Okay, sorry about my ramblings. zoar3, I really like all of your predictions, especially your thoughts on Emily Michelle and Nanny. Jamie: I think he's a sweet kid, but he kind of bored me in the series because of that reason. And it's hard for me to predict how he'd turn out because of that reason. : / But I do agree with what a few of you have said: I definitely think he'd turn out to be a hottie. <3

I suppose one of the reasons I didn't care for the Pike boys was because I didn't grow up around brothers. I preferred Charlotte and the Perkinses because I naturally identified with them. But you're right that JAB were pretty much your average ten year old boys.

CourtKy, Lol, yep you definitely like that Jordan Pike. Actually there was a romance series about 4 brothers, one of whom was named Jordan. He was a firefighter. The other 3 brothers were police officers. I could see "our" Jordan being a cop, probably a Deputy. I could also see him as some sort of recreation leader, Coach, possibly a high school teacher, or even major league baseball player. I have a feeling he'd do something outdoors.

I can definitely understand what you mean there. I didn't grow up with any brothers either, but I do have three male cousins that might as well have been my brothers. The older two (one is the same age as me and one is a year older) were always ganging up on their younger brother, much like JAB and Nicky. Sometimes, admittedly, I was in with them. Sure it sounds mean, but we were all much younger then and just little kids. Now we're all close. Haha, I sort of want to read that now. Yeah, I have a weakness for Jordan --- I understand that he's generally not the most well-liked charge, but for some reason he's always been my favorite. I can see all the careers you listed as well! He would definitely be a person who would be bored with an office job.
