^ Ah! That means she's about MY age! I always think of Mrs. Newton as being "old" because she's a "mom" but I know you're right. I'm just "old" too I guess. ;D (at least I feel like it now ;D)

I think I always thought of the majority of the parents as "old" when I was young because they often called their spouses "dear" and I dunno, I associated that with older people But now I don't feel like many of them are all that old, especially the clients with very young children.

I still think of them as "old" ;D Maybe because I still think of myself as a little kid or something. ;D

Pardon me while I have a slight breakdown in the middle of this thread. I'm still freaking out about some of my friends who have kids who are in school. I do not feel old enough to have a child in school. baby? maybe. Child who is like a real person or something? No. No. I am not that old. If I were that old, I would be married and stuff. I was always the first in my class to do everything else. I was the first to get my period and get a bra and be hit on by an "older guy" and I graduated early and I was SUPPOSED to be out of college when i was 20 and out of law school when I was 23.. but somewhere I went off track. And I should have been the first to be married and have a house. This is not fair. Boo and Bullfrogs. We now return to your regularly scheduled reading. I always picture Mrs Newton in the 27-32 demographic. I picture Kristy's mom at about 32, Watson as around 45 (even if he is younger, I picture him older looking. It can happen, I dated a 19 year old who was losing his hair) I always picture richard as older then sharon, even if they are the same age. He seems older and more mature. I guess tramatic life events can age a person.

kristy's mom had charlie at 19, so we know her age.
a kid i went to school with from kindergarten on it now pretty much completely bald, which freaks me out because he...used to have hair, i guess.

^I have a friend like that. He just shaved off what little hair he had left. My husband's best friend is also losing his hair at a pretty rapid speed.

Did Elizabeth ever go to college? I always think it's strange when I see friends who used to have hair and are now going bald. It makes me feel really old. ;D

There was a recent episode of wife swap where a woman had a similar job to Elizabeth, and she was concerned about her daughter, who she had when she was 19. She didn't want her kids to have to go through what she did, pregnant in college and having to work extra hard. It was a big deal because her daughter had no interests beside boys. Unfortunately, they switched with people who didn't even try and noone helped each other at all. Um, no I don't watch wife swap.

I really liked it how Dr. Johannsen and Stacey seemed really close in the early books. Just reread Goodbye Stacey and thought it was nice how Dr. Johannsen started to give her a hug when she learned she was moving. It seemed like the books kind of forgot about the relationship, though, later in the series. Same with Mrs. Newton.

I always liked that too aln. I liked the closeness between Stacey and Dr. Johannsen. She helped her out with a lot of issues with her diabetes and always seemed to be there for her.
