When I was really little, like about three, I thought for awhile that all adult women were named Susan, no matter what your name was when you were a little girl, because virtually all the adult women whose first names I actually knew were Susans! (My mom, my best friend's mom, my mom's best friend, my Sunday School teacher. . .) Maybe the same thing happens in Stoneybrook with the name John! ;D

^ ;D That's funny. I'm surprised I wasn't like that with the name Tom since it is my dad's name and the name of 5 guys he has worked with since I was a kid who were also his friends. It used to seem like everyone he worked with was named Tom. They call each other by their last names, though, so that is how I think of them. I wonder if the men in Stoneybrook do that with each other but somehow I can't see that. Do the fathers in the series really ever interact with each other? I see a little interaction with the kids but not a whole lot with other adults. I think that would have been interesting.

When I was really little (like, 3 or 4) I used to think everybody's birthday was December 15th, like mine. I think I was under the impression that Birthday was like a national holiday or something and that everyone turned a year older on 12/15. Aaaah, youth. ;D Back to your regularly scheduled topic.

It seem that it's the most underdeveloped fathers who get the generic "John" name.

Don't know if this has been mentioned or not, but I'm almost positive Abby's dad's name was...guess what?
John.

^ Thanks. I realized my mistake after posting but didn't have a chance to modify. Oh well, the same nickname in some form can be used ;D

I can't believe so many of the fathers were named John or Johnathan. Or that the girls never mentioned it, it would've been a great inside joke if one of the ghostwriters had one of the girls point it out at a meeting or in the (in)famous chapter 2s.
