I love how the artists - and even the various writers of the series - have transformed Mary Anne from a prissy girl to almost a sex-kitten-type-model. Look at her on the cover of The Fire at Mary Anne's House... all sultry and innocent. "My house is burning down, but at least my haircut has grown out into a sexy bob".
It's obvious that Stacey, Claudia, and Mary Anne where physically the most attractive. Stacey and Claudia in both a more 'sophisticated', made-up, glamourous way. Mary Anne in a more natural, subtle way (think: the covered of Snowbound and Mary Anne and the Secret in the Attic). I, personally, think she also looks good in the cover of Mary Anne in the Little Princess - although one thing that *always* bothered me, even as a kid, was the fact that the artist seemed to put a little brown-ish dab on her nose in the cover.
... If you have that title, check it out for yourself; you'll see it's there.
Kristy and Dawn: not beautiful, but plain. Both in different ways Mallory: ...um, let's not go there. Possible beauty in her 20s Jessi: again, will probably develop with age Shannon: I think she is probably beautiful. Ski-jump noses aren't necessarily a bad thing, BSC. I always find that they mention it in such a bad way. She's smarter than all'yall, so shush it! Logan: Will be hot when he ages as well.
So basically, they will will be a hot crew. Mary Anne is where the magic will happen, I believe.

I don't know about the Mallory being hot in her 20's... maybe if she makes killer money as an author and gets a little something I like to call PLASTIC SURGERY!!!!
Example... my avatar

I think based solely on the covers, Mary Anne always came out the best looking.

Haha, yer. But the artists DO make them look about 25 sometimes.

Jessi on the cover of the Shadow Lake book looks...very manly. I agree that Mary Anne always seems like the most beautiful. She's always been my favorite character, her hissy fits always make me ROTFL.

Mary Anne was definitely very pretty on her covers. I liked her long straight hair like on Secret in the Attic and Snowbound.

She looked so cute, little-girlish like she was supposed to, on the cover of #4.

I can't help but be a little offended, lol On topic, I've always thought all of the BSC-ers were pretty in their own way. Agree that MA looks very pretty on most covers. And I know that .. ahem, poor Mal doesn't usually look so hot (and poor Jessi looks like a man in the inside illustrations D:) but I like to think that they really are cute in their own way. Same as Kristy and Dawn. Basically, I like to think of them all as pretty : ) (but that's the way I am, I have a hard time NOT finding something attractive about each and every person I definitely think of them all, though, MA had the best covers. I love her on the Secret in the Attic one!

I always thought Mary Anne was so pretty. Even though I complain about her sometimes, I think I relate to her the most in terms of personality. I noticed something about her too, she shows that nice girls are also inner critics about everything, I'm definitely a lot like her in personality.

MA probably would never be the utter knockout that a Shannon would be but certainly pretty.

Mary Anne would be cute, adorable and delicate, and Shannon would be stunning and a daredevil

I always pictured Mary Anne to be pretty in like an innocent, not-aware of it kind of way. I think she'd always be too shy to portray herself as beautiful, but she would be pretty

On the covers MA is always a total babe. I remember reading a few books that say Dawn is beautiful and I'm always just like '...huh?'

I remember reading a few books that say Dawn is beautiful and I'm always just like '...huh?' Yeah, when she's introduced in #4 she's described as not exactly pretty, but pleasant looking. Then later in the series she's, like, gorgeous (yes, she's so gorgeous they have to put it in italics for emphasis). Shannon was described as not exactly pretty, but interesting looking (with high cheekbones and a ski slope nose). I think she was compared to Meryl Streep. I like that.
