^ I just thought that Abby didn't really have a developed relationship with the rest of the girls because she lived relatively far from them (sorry if this has already been said or beaten to death).

Just read Sweetcitygirl's post in another thread that yesterday was Abby's 33rd birthday so Happy Birthday Abby! Even though the girls are supposed to be 33 now, I will always think of them as being 13. ;D (probably because I wish I could be 13 again. ;D)

When I think of Abby, for some reason I think of winter. Maybe because many of her books take place in the winter? I remember her running in the middle of winter during Abby and the Mystery Baby -- and that's probably something that she's done often in the books -- and I remember Abby's Twin was a January book, that took place after the holidays.

Also, I have to add that Abby's character, I feel, IS Peter Lerangis... does this make sense to anyone?

I think of winter too. Un-Valentine -- February.

I remember the scene when Abby is running and the wheeze-wagon (school-bus) drives up beside her. I think it's in the winter-time. Is that in Mystery Baby?

I didn't like Abby at all when she first came into the series b/c maybe I was just annoyed with what it had become at that point. However, on my last reread I found myself liking her more. I enjoy her spunkiness but then again, I don't like how she seems to make fun of people. I am sort of torn. I do feel like she brought a little bit of life to series when it was dying with the Dawn moving every other book.

I remember in Grade 5 I lent Abby's Twin to a friend of mine, whose name was Andrea, and it was winter time (probably around the time the book was published, either January or February, because you KNOW I had to read it first before she did, naturally).
Anyway, I remember her giving me back the book and me asking her how she liked it, and she replied, "I'm a big Abby fan." I remember those words specifically, I don't know why.

Also, I have to add that Abby's character, I feel, IS Peter Lerangis... does this make sense to anyone? I get what you're saying, but I refuse to believe Peter had the dark undertone that Abby did.

Well, he was a middle aged guy. Now that I think about it, there are a lot of ways that Abby can be compared to a middle aged guy, haha

I truly love Abby! She's the third characters that I can easily relate to.

In the Abby bookmark that Ann posted online, it says that Abby is interested in environmental issues. I never really think of Abby as an environmental activist, although, I don't doubt it. In which books did she show her deep care for the environment -- does anyone know!?

^I don't recall her ever caring too much for the environment, but in BSC in the USA, didn't they suggest that her dad was kinda a nature fan (eg, loving the Grand Canyon), and because of him Abby had an appreciation for the same things? IDK.
