I just made a thread about it over in the Everything Else subboards, but in The BSC and the Boy Sitters video, forget Kristy and Alan, Kristy and PETE are ready to pounce on each other!

^ I remember a book where I got the feeling that Kristy and Pete could have something for each other but it was a pretty weak vibe. This is interesting, though. I could actually always see MA with Pete, especially after MA Misses Logan. A Kristy/MA/Pete triangle might be interesting. I really can't see Kristy with Cary but maybe I just don't want to since I can't stand Cary. ;D

I really dislike Alan, but I can see Kristy secretly having a crush on him. I wouldn't like to see them as a couple though because I just imagine them bickering all the time. Kind of reminds me of Jessie & Slater on "Saved by the Bell". They were bickering one minute and lovey-dovey the next.

Just a thought- Kristy & Alan are like a very young version of Beatrice and Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing.

I don't really care for Kristy/Alan. I think they could've become a couple if they became friends first (they would hang out with each other and maybe then like each other as more than friends and than become a couple) or if the ghostwriters made some more hints in the books about them liking each other.

I cannot believe I have never commented on this thread. Ever since Claudia and the Phantom Phone Calls, I have felt like Kristy and Alan belong together. I love how bothered she is by him in that book, however, when he asks her to the dance she immediately shows her soft side. I think I remember her also trying to figure out what to wear - doesn't sound much like our little Kristy.
I definitely think that deep down they both liked each other, yet when it comes to FF, I really liked seeing Claudia and Alan too. Probably because I've always seen Alan as someone that everyone wants to hate but really can't, but not quite popular. I saw Claudia as pretty popular and I think that might boost Alan a little - and Alan is really my favorite minor character of all of them.
Yet, my hopes for Alan always went back to Kristy. I liked them being paired up in MA and Too Many Babies, and having to raise their egg, Izzy. CUTE! Maybe once they matured (haha) they might try again.

Alan/Kristy all the way. Kristy is always being all disgusting during lunch with her graphic descriptions, and then she has the nerve to call Alan immature!
Alan/Dawn - I thought that was a script writer's mistake.
Alan/Claudia - Too much tension with Alan and Kristy to see that relationship going anywhere.
Why though, is Alan Gray (and Pete Black etc) always referred to by their full name? There's only one Alan and they talk about him in every book, we all know who he is.

I think the Kristy and Alan pairing would be interesting and cute. But IDK. I can't see them as a real couple. They seem like they could be really good friends since they're both immature and goofy, and she did liked him in the earlier books. I think I'd support them all the way if it weren't for Bart.

Kristy is not immature. I really don't see Alan and Kristy as even friends really. To me, he was too immature for her and she had no patience for him. I wish people would stop labeling Kristy "immature" because she's not into clothing or steady dating. To me, Kristy is actually quite mature for her age.

I agree with you. I think they labeled Kristy immature for superficial reasons.

Is it bad that I love these two together? My first ship before I knew what shipping was haha. They seem like they’d have lots of fun together.

Hey, they were the earliest “romance” in the series! You’re allowed

Is it bad that I love these two together? Not at all! You could write a fanfiction on it...there is a fanfiction thread here on this board you can post it on. Have Alan mature in high school or as an adult, then maybe at a high school reunion back in Stoneybrook, have Kristy and Alan re-meet again, perhaps? They seem like they'd have lots of fun together. For a while, maybe yes...I suspect it would depend on if Alan matured and grew after the book series ended. 😀😀😀
