I think of Claudia's bedspread as navy. Claudia's desk and chair is mine from childhood. I have it well-pictured in my head too. Her bed is pushed up against the wall beneath a window. To the right is a white bookshelf. To the left is a closet.

Why a navy bedspread, Greer? Or is that just one of those unexplainable things about our imaginations?

I picture her bedroom looking just like my childhood best friend's room. The way it's described sounds a lot like it.
Although the messiness sounds like my room lol. I just remembered something funny. When I was a kid, I decided I wanted to be like Claudia and started to hide candy and stuff around my room. But then I realized that was dumb since my parents don't forbid the stuff. Haha.

Wenonah, I could have sworn it was mentioned as navy somewhere, or that the bedspread was dark and didn't show stains or something.

Except the delicious brown stain...

I think I remember a mention of a navy bedspread too. Can't remember where I saw that though.

Claudia would end up decorating that with puffy paint sooner or later.

Maybe she would one day tie-dye her bedspread or pillowcases...she did have a pair of tie-dyed pajamas ;D

Or she'd give MA the navy bedspread and get a new one since MA wanted to re-do her room with navy blue.

^ The redecorating plot is in #4, so it mightn't have been as old....

I picture Claudia's room as being cluttered with her art supplies, etc.

Claudia's room reminds me of my little sister's room. Like Claudia, she likes to do art and she hides junk food in her room. Her room is always cluttered and crowded because she has tons of furniture (not to mention two desks, a small, round table, five or six chairs, three or 4 easels, two dressers, and three bookshelves). However, it is not messy. In fact, it's pretty organized (her bed is made, she hangs up her clothes, no underwear is peaking out of her drawer, etc)...it's just crowded. My room, though, is a MESS. Not dirty, though ;D. I always tell myself to tidy my room but I'm too lazy Maybe I should clean (at least, straighten) my room tomorrow...
