hopefully she did eat dark then...or soy. I'm sure it was or we probably would have known since she would have had a reaction. ;D Agree with Greer that Abby's allergies seemed pretty consistent.

Awww. I read Abby's book and that part about how she wanted to make Kristy laugh was so cute.
it makes me get all giggly and think "Aww, she has a crush on Kristy" i like slash. straight slash or gay/lesbian slash its ALL good. also in UnValentine when they go to the movies together....AWWW :3 that tantalized my thoughts.

is straight slash slash? i thought slash was inherently gay/lesbian. My sources tell me that slash is male with male. Girl with girl is called femslash or femmeslash. But I guess people call slash anything that is homosexual now. And some people use slash to refer to anything explicit.

I agree with aln that the jokes are her way of dealing. She said that her father loved jokes and laughing, right? I agree too. What you said made me remember a part in "Welcome to the BSC,Abby". I really liked this part(It's in Chapter 1): "Although my sense of humor wasn't ever quite the way it was when my father was alive,it felt okay to laugh again. Laughing,I could remember my dad,and think he might be laughing too. I felt alive again. But our family still wasn't the same."This part brought tears to my eyes.

It annoys me a bit (and is one of the things that I dislike about her) when Abby makes fun of Josh and Claudia’s seventh grade friends. Sometimes it seems like she constantly needs to be making jokes and trying to be “funny” and this often involves laughing at others. I don’t appreciate that kind of humor, though Abby doesn’t seem as bad about it in her own books.

Did Abby call Josh a chipmunk? I thought that at times Abby did make some comments about people that were unfair/uncalled for, although I can't remember exactly when. Maybe I'm thinking it was her who said some stuff aobut Stacey's Mathlete friends. I think Kristy did too...

I feel that Abby always feels the need to joke and be silly because if she doesn't keep her mind occupied with something like that, she'll start thinking about her father. I don't think of Abby as being gay, I just think that she's pessimistic about relationships in general.
