Late to the thread, but looky on over the left... I'm very much an Abby fan. Unlike most here on the boards, I was still reading the books when she was introduced and I remember being like "yay! a Jewish BSC-er!" and now I find myself identifying with her in just about every way except for the sports love. I think I stopped reading at about 110 or so, so I don't have most of her later books. I'd love to read Abby's Un-Valentine!
But most of all, I dig the representation of long black curly hair, which I also have in abundance. Of course for every time I hear someone say "oh, I wish my hair was thick and curly!", I just want to shout "You do NOT want it. Just trust me on this" Oh the many tangles that have broken combs and brushes through the years...

I have long curly hair too only mine's brown and I have broken many a brush myself! People who want this curly mess are crazy!!!! I think I only read Welcome to the BSC, Abby and Abby's lucky 13, but I liked the fact that she had curly hair and was funny. I don't like her as much when I read about her from the other girl's perspectives, but I do like her in her own books.

My hair is very thick too. I haven't broken brushes, but I've snapped ponytail holders. I get so mad when that happens! ;D

I'm always breaking brushes and ponytail holders. It's like Little Shop of Horrors, it just keeps getting thicker and thicker. ;D

And if you break my heart, my achy breaky heart, it might blow up and kill this man.... ;D Thanks for giving me a good smile when I really needed it. ;D I used to love this song and even went to a Billy Ray Cyrus concert when I was ten. Don't like him much anymore but his old stuff was good, especially this one. I had forgotten about it, though. But most of all, I dig the representation of long black curly hair, which I also have in abundance. I don't like her as much when I read about her from the other girl's perspectives, but I do like her in her own books. I also like Abby more from her own perspective. Maybe it gives me more insight into her instead of just the jokes, which I kind of see as a facade to hide her inner feelings.
