I don't remember Logan and the chef mention. That's really interesting. Did he cook the romantic dinner for MA in MA vs. Logan? I can't remember anymore.

He mentioned that he wanted to be a chef after he worked in Casa Grande for that Short Takes Class.

Kristy: there is no doubt in my mind that she would become a ceo. she'd probably start her own business, with some start up capital provided by watson
claudia: she'd go into art. i can see her going to an art school in ca or ny. i don't know if she necessarily has the smarts/abilities/personality to be a successful artist, but she'd do something in the field for sure.
mary anne: psychologist
stacey: i can see her going into hedge funds, or working in the business end of a major fashion house, like chanel.
dawn: working for an environmental nonprofit
abby: i can see her being a high-powered businesswoman as well.
mal: editor
jessi: dance teacher, or choreographer
shannon: lawyer
logan: high school coach, of either baseball or football. i can also see him taking over lyman's sporting goods business.

Kristy: would definitely be a CEO of some corporation, or anything where she can be the boss Claudia: Claudia would go to art school in NYC and focus on paiting or jewelry making or both. She definitely has issues with addiction so I think she'd probably end up having some drug problems sooner or later, but eventrually she would be able to overcome them and make a living selling her art and teaching Stacey- she would go to NYU I think and study business/marketing or possibley accounting Mary Anne- I think she would like she said, study psycology (I'm think probably at an Ivy league college) and become a therepist Dawn: Dawn would so go to Berkley. She would study environmental science or maybe political science. She would not have a high profile career, but maybe work in a health food store or cafe, something where she would be around people, but that wouldn't take up too much time so she could focus her energies on making a difference and volunteering. Mallory: She would work for a publisher as she works on her novel Jessi: Jessi would be a professional dancer in a ballet company, probably in a small town, nothing big, but you never know (someone from my old dance school is now a very famous principal ballerina for NYCB so it can happen) Abby: Athletic trainer

^ Dawn would definitely go to Berkley. ;D I hadn't remembered that Lyman had a sporting goods buisness. I can see Logan taking that over, too, if he doesn't become a teacher. I can actually see Jessi as a speech patholgist or working with special needs kids somehow. I think she'd be great at that.

Stacey - She would study Economics, Engineering or Finance. In several of the books, she often expresses a strong interest in the stock market so maybe she'll be a stockbroker, or she could start her own business. Which books are those? I know Stacey and the Mystery at the Mall is one....just curious, if you happen to know. For some reason, I like reading about Stacey's interest in finance. ;D

What do you think each of the sitters would study in college or do for a living? I don't think this topic has been started in another thread already; let me know if it has. Here's what I think: Kristy- In college she would probably like the debate team or any activity involving leadership. She may take courses in business management. Not sure what type of business she'd go into.... Mary Anne- In college she'll go into something like psychology. I could see her doing anything that involves helping people. I think your right about Kristy taking courses in business management,I remember Mary Anne saying that Kristy is a very good businesswoman. About Mary Anne,I think it will be better if she becomes a veterinarian, because she loves and cares about animals soo much,or a secretary in a company, sice she's very neat and organized.

ma never seemed to excell at science/biology, which i think is crucial to being a vet i can see her being a librarian... she seemed to really enjoy her volunteer job at ma and the library mystery.

^ I can see MA being a great librarian. Agree about a vet needing science. Maybe she could have passed the stuff but not sure if her grades would have been good enough to get into vet school. Also I couldn't see her having what it took to put animals to sleep and even do things that might upset them or hurt them temporarily. (stitches, restrating them, etc.)

Agree about Mary Anne being a great librarian, I could also see her doing well as a teacher.

I think Kristy would either be a business major or go into education.
I think Claudia wouldn't go to college right away, unless her parents forced her. She seems like she'd be more interested in studying her own way, by traveling and learning things firsthand. I think she'd end up being an art teacher - practically speaking, it's hard to get work as an artist with the kind of art she enjoys (as opposed to, say, graphic design), and she enjoys working with kids.
I think Mary Anne would major in psychology initially, but then go into early childhood education after realizing that she's just too sensitive for work in the psychology field. (I don't mean that in an insulting way, it's just that Mary Anne gets upset when others are upset, and dealing with people who are upset without getting upset yourself is a big part of being a psychologist!)
I think Stacey would major in math or economics and end up on Wall Street. Or possibly end up as an engineer.
Dawn would probably want to be a marine biologist. I have no idea how practical a career path that is, though.
Mallory would probably end up an English major and work as an English teacher/professor while trying to get her books published.
Jessi I don't know about, since her whole personality was basically "black dancer." Maybe she'd be a sign language interpreter.
Abby would, I think, end up as a gym teacher. She loves sports, and I think she'd have a great time teaching kids. Or maybe she'd do something else entirely but coach soccer or Little League on weekends...
Shannon would definitely go to an Ivy League school (I'm thinking Yale) and for some reason, I always think of her as going into law, probably because she's such an overachiever.
Logan I have no idea about.

I agree with all of your predictions, Mckay, especially about MA being too sensitive for psychology. There is a lot more to being a psychologist than just being a "good listener". Emotional detachment is actually important, too. MA as a psychologist makes me think of the movie The Shrink is In where the shrink loses it. ;D
