I've always gotten gay vibes from Abby, especially in 127. It really always seemed like she was desperately trying to hide her unrequited love for Kristy by talking about all the "boyfriends" she had on Long Island. And for some reason, recently, I've been getting bi vibes from Claudia.

I never got the vibe but I think it’s be interesting to have someone you wouldn’t expect. Kristy and Abby are usually labeled since they’re into sports but it’s be interesting to be Mary-Anne or Claudia.

I would like to see Mallory come out as lesbian. It would be interesting if her boarding school experience (being away from home and surrounded by women during puberty) helped her realize that she was gay. All-female boarding schools make me think of Madchen in Uniform anyway.

Just because they are so into sports let's turn them lesbians! It really annoys the crap out of me.

Or even Stacey...even with her 'boy-crazy' phase, her orientation wasn't fully formed at thirteen.

Any and all, tbh. Kristy and Abby get the obvious, but Mary Anne's very conscious of other girls' looks (when she follows that girl around on the Disney cruise because she's so beautiful and 'fills her bikini'). Claudia has that little thing with Ashley Wyeth which Mimi compares to when she met her husband. Mallory and Jessi when they meet have that lovely bond that was super gay coded. Stacey's described as boy crazy, but her emotional bonds are with the girls; her relationships with guys seem pretty shallow. Likewise, Sunny, boys are a distraction method for her, but the only one she makes a connection with is Ducky the gay bff, I could totally buy her and Dawn as a pairing.

All-female boarding schools make me think of Madchen in Uniform anyway. Being at in an all-female environment does not "make" a person gay. The BSC meetings and sleepovers are all-female events. I actually think it would be neat to see either Mary Anne, Dawn or Stacey bisexual. 😁😁😁 Mallory or Jessi might be good as bisexuals also. In high school, all the BSC would definitely get to know more openly gay people, including some of their classmates.

I think Mallory has a higher chance though since she has that general aversion to guys in general (especially in book 59) and being in an all female environment might help her realize it sooner. Of course it doesn't make a person gay, but we don't know what happens to the BSC after graduation so anything could happen.

Teenagers make lots of discoveries about themselves in high school. Mary Anne, Stacey, Claudia or Dawn could very well discover that they're bisexual sometime in high school.

Either way...kids who were adverse to the opposite gender in pre-adolescence could end up heterosexual.
And true, we can't tell by childhood anyway.

Being at in an all-female environment does not "make" a person gay. I know it doesn't, and that's not what I said at all. I clearly said "realize she was gay" and not "turn her gay". Why are you always twisting people's words?
