i feel like we need this type of thread in general. so here's my first question to start it off--what was the book where sam prank calls the BSC saying he's marmee march and he needs a sitter for amy? it's driving me crazy. i think it might have been kristy's big day but i'm not sure.

It was Kristy's Big Day. I reread it last week and that part cracked me up. Does that mean Sam's read Little Women?

HAHAHAHAHA IT DOES. IIRC, he goes on to say, "I need someone who specializes in little women, please," or something like that. I usually hate Sam, but that's actually really funny.

Maybe one time when the movie was on TV, Elizabeth made the whole family watch it. Not the version with Winona Ryder -- that wouldn't have been made yet -- but another Little Women movie.

Ann probably just really liked little women and thought it was hilarious without realizing that fourteen year old boys would have much familiarity with it. It's not as if Mary Anne was his sister. I don't really see kristy as the louisa may alcott type.

Which book is it where everyone's walkign to school together, and Jessi is doing like her tour jete leaps over to the group and Logan starts mocking and imitating her? And then later she leaves a magazine article in his locker about a football player who takes ballet?

I think it's Mary Anne Breaks the Rules. Yeah, it was that. My turn now What was the book where Stacey says it's Dues Day, and they say it's not Tuesday, ect., stuff like that. I thought it was an earlier book, but I haven't found it yet. And what was the one where Stacey was wearing all-black in the middle of summer?

Super Special 8, BSC at Shadow Lake.
It's the 'chapter two' part with Kristy commenting that Stacey is wearing "a simple (for her) outfit--black leggings, a long black t-shirt with brillant starfish swooping across the front, black flop socks and high tops." Kristy makes some remark that her outfit must absorb heat and don't people wear a lot of white in the summertime. Stacey replies that she looks good though. Which I guess is hilarious since everyone cracks up.
I always wondered what the 'brillant starfish swooping' meant. Were they, like, fluorescent colors--neon pink and green--against the black t-shirt? And swooping? Were they printed all over her shirt or were the starfish in a certain 'swoop-like' pose? Eh.
Don't know about the Dues Day/Tuesday bit.

^ Ah, the flop-socks...did they actually wear them in any of the other books, or was that just a one off thing?

I used to think that starfish shirt sounded awesome, along with the shirt she wears in Boy Crazy Stacey (hot pink with big parrots in splashy bright colors) but now they both just seem meh.
I want to say the part about dues day/Tuesday was in one of Stacey's mysteries. Missing Ring maybe? Don't know why I think that, it's probably not right. I thought it was a funny exchange.
Dues day! It's Tuesday? No, dues. You bought new shoes? No, DUES! You've got the blues?

It was Stacey and the mystery money, only reason I know that is because I JUST read it yesterday.
