Maybe not an inconsistency and just an instance of Claudia's stupidity, but in # 71, "Claudia and The Perfect Boy", Claudia is wearing (pg. 7): "Pink socks with gold stretch pants and...a gold turtleneck under a pink sweater" On page 119, she reads a personal ad that states: "I need a girl who doesn't giggle and act like a little kid and preferably one who doesn't wear pink" To which Claudia thinks: "I fit his qualifications and I don't look good in pink." So, did she wear the aforementioned outfit realizing she didn't look good in it? I though "exotic, gorgeous" Claudia looked good in everything! hahahaha WHOOPS!!! ;D

I was rereading "Dawn and Whitney Friends Forever" and one of Dawn's father's dates calls him Richard! No wonder it didn't work out, the poor woman doesn't even get his name right.

Ooh, I finally caught one! Abby's dad died when she was 9, correct? In Mary Anne's Book, MA says that Abby's dad died "about seven years ago"

I found a minor one! In Kristy's Book, Mary Anne sends Kristy a postcard from the shore, and it's postmarked New Jersey, but in Boy-Crazy Stacey, Mary Anne says she's never been down the Jersey shore. I felt very pleased with myself for noticing it.

In Kristy and the Copycat, Kristy claims her dad walked out when she was 'about eight'... wasn't she six?

^They always said David Michael was a baby when the dad left, and he was six years younger than Kristy, so yeah.
Minor one. In the chapter 2 of Dawn Saves the Planet, Kristy is described as having chin length hair. That wouldn't really be long enough for her to put it in the pony tail that she wore 99% of the time.

In "Claudia's book," David Michael is both four and a half and five in the same section (when they went to the shore). I guess it's pausible that he COULD have had a birthday (and I missed it), but I thought I'd throw that out there anyway.

In Truth About Stacey, she says there's only one middle school in Stoneybrook. Just a few books later (#6?), Kristy is supposed to go to Kelsey Middle School. Guess Stoneybrook expanded.

In SS5 in some chapter Mallory was telling how in the morning everyone went their different ways, like Mary Anne would stay at home to read flyers (stupid!!) and Jessi would go to the tv studio and stuff. She, Kristy and Dawn went to the market where she spent all her money on make-up and going blonde. When she got back everyone, esp Jessi, was shocked and pissed, etc. But the next chapter is Jessi. It starts that very same morning and she's like: "I was really excited to go to the studio. Then Mal said: "Have fun" but I coulnd't even look at my blonde friend."
Uhm, that morning she was still a redhead about to go to the market. Weird.

Maybe Jessi went to the studio two days in a row? That's what I always thought of it as... But actually, having it as an inconsistency makes more sense.
