Maybe the two of them pronounce it differently, so she doesn't consider it the same name. The Alana in #77 is pronounced "A-lain-a," and I've never met anyone in real life who pronounced it that way, but I have known people who pronounce it "A-lan-na" and "A-lah-na."

In one of the books, i think #57 it says kristy has chin-length hair.
Since when? I thought she always had shoulder-length hair worn in a ponytail?

In LS #59, Bobby Gianelli's dad is allergic to dogs, but in KIMCC #1, Bobby brings his dog to school for Pet Day.

They also don't have a dog mentioned in any other LS books either.

Wow, there are 92 pages of inconsistencies. In several books, in chapter 2s, it says that Jessi and Mallory have pierced ears but only can wear hoops and studs. In the Trouble with Twins, Mal's parents say that it would be boring to wear just hoops and studs, so she can wear wilder, "Claudia" style earrings. In a few hooks (MA and the Playground Fight), it says that she has pierced ears. In FF super special Everything Changes, Claudia says that she's never been stranded on an island before. What about the time she was stranded on an island with Dawn and the kids?? Claudia's spelling errors possibly? In notebook entries, there are words she spelled right, and if she'd use them again on the same entry, she'd misspell it. That could be laziness, though...

Some I've noticed: A lot of the books, probably more the ghostwritten ones, imply or state that Mary Anne and Dawn discovered their parents dated in high school after Dawn joined the club. Not really an inconsistency per se but there's often a diplomatic refusal to state that the reason Richard and Sharon broke up was largely because her parents disliked him because he didn't have enough money/prospects.
Specific to Nola Thacker's books: Kristy's father is said to call occasionally/randomly, I don't think that was shown and it seems like more closeness than not remembering most birthdays. Kristy and Dawn refer to Mary Anne as stubborn, the former as maybe more stubborn than her, there's some basis for that but it still seems a strong claim.

I recently read Kristy + Bart = ? and Mary Anne says she learned to walk when she was fifteen months old. Now I'm reading Mary Anne's Book, which was published in the same month, and Mary Anne reads a letter from her grandmother that says MA took her first step before her first birthday. I guess the only way it's not an inconsistency is if it took her three months to take her second step...

Her grandma would have witnessed the earlier steps.

I'm reading Kristy and the Middle School Vandal and I thought it was odd that Abby comments that their bus is always on time or early on the way to school and is only ever late on the way home, but then later in the same book her bus is running late on the way to school.

Stacey's Mistake: in the chapter 2, Stacey mentions that Jeff moved to California. Later Dawn tells Stacey that Jeff moved to California and Stacey said she didn't know.

Maybe a minor inconsistency or just a change-I think the "two sitters for more than four kids" started out as a Pike parents requirement, albeit one the sitters agreed with, later on it was presented as a club policy the sitters came up with on their own and insisted upon.
