I loved that scene and that book....I thought it was cute and actually sort of realistic that Mary Anne would feel weird seeing Logan without his shirt in that setting. I probably would have been the same way at 13! I'm going to look at BSC books in a whole new light after reading this thread.

Once Sharon came on the scene, however, Richard "loosened up". In other words, became a typical indifferent Stoneybrook parent.
;D
Such innocence!
So refreshing that the only thing MA's bf did to make her uncomfortable was take off his shirt while painting. Haven't read that book, unfortunately (I do have it, though) but I look forward to that scene. Cute.

The postcard Dawn sent Lewis in Dawn's Big Date--the one with the pair of legs wearing high heels--was pretty suggestive. So was what she wrote on it, although I can't remember what it was.

Something like "Mary Anne says you have an extremely hunky voice. I can't wait to hear it whispering in my ear." Ugh.

That's something I wouldn't write to anyone now (unless I was married and it was a joke), and I'm 25. I can't believe she did it and she was 13.

That postcard is one of the biggest cringe moments of the BSC...

^ Personally, I think Stacey's poem to Wes was worse... that scene is almost difficult to read.

I think both were pretty awkward moment. I always just felt sorry for Stacey in that book, while I just thought Dawn was weird for writing that card.

if i was Louis, i would not go to Stoneybrook after getting Dawns post card, i would be really scared of her, haha I think Lewis WAS really scared of Dawn after that! He didn't give her a proper smile until she started acting normal again. I think I can almost quote Stacey's poem... Two stars... as yet unmet... blinding light... and bring two young people back again. Or something.

^ haha, jen, I think you've got it almost word for word. I'll have to re-read Dawn's postcard to Lewis, though.
