From page 1 of "The Secret Life of Mary Anne Spier:"
Glancing at my friend, Kristy Thomas, I grinned. "I've never done this before," I whispered with a shiver of excitement. "Really?" Kristy raised an eyebrow. "It's no big deal."

Haha some of these messages are hillarious! Got me in the mood whilst reading through BSC books today... I can't resist writing this conversation between Kristy and Dawn in the barn -
"You have a barn on your property?" Kristy asked with interest. "Mm-hmm." "Do you play in it?" "Well we're not supposed to go in it much, but sometimes my brother and I play there." ....... "Could we go in the barn?"........ "She sat in the hay for a moment, then leaped up and exclaimed, "Oh wow! That was terrific!"..... Kristy looking cockier each time.....
Sorry I couldn't resist ;D

i find it weird that the older you are, the less likely parents think you are to do it. but the 13-yr-olds can't be trusted.

^I think it's more that when you're older, your parents wouldn't be as upset about you having sex.

^ yeah, ITA... while most parents wouldn't want their 16 yr old daughter to be sexually active, it's a little bit more acceptable than a 13 yr old!! ;D

From Dawn Saves the Planet
"Stacey, who had been more worried than me, let out a squeal of delight at my news. "All right!" Then she gave me a big hug.
I caught Brent Jensen nudging his friend Todd Long and pointing at us, a smirk on his face."
Heh. I'm surprised there wasn't more girl on girl action in the BSC.

Oh, I remember that one sparklymouse! And then doesn't Dawn tell them to take a picture because it'll last longer? So mature, Dawn, and btw they would probably love a picture of it!

I think this confirms the recent debates about Abby in 'Welcome to the BSC Abby' -
"Stacey and Claudia. Two knockout BABES!" ;D
Also 'Stacey and the Bad Girls' is full of sexual references (the title's enough!). The ad that Stacey imagines that Kristy would write for herself I took no notice of when I was younger but now when I read it, I crack up as it sounds like good ol' Kristy Thomas is soliciting...
"EAGER, ENERGETIC, FRIENDLY, BRIGHT, GENERALLY WONDERFUL THIRTEEN YEAR OLD WILLING AND ABLE TO DO ANYTHING." Yep that's asking for it Kristy ;D

I just read "Kristy and the Mystery Train," for the first time, and the name, "Rock Harding," strikes me as just a tad, er, suggestive. Particularly for a "down on his luck" movie director. As in, he'll barely have to put any thought into creating his alias when he gives up and starts filming porn.
(Incidentally, I wasn't much of a snoop when I babysat, except to be curious about the books on people's shelves (and a little snobby about people who had nothing but, like, two airport paperbacks), but at least three of my friends claim to have stumbled upon adult entertainment while baby-sitting. I'm shuddering to think about what the title of THAT book would have been.)
