I didn't think about any of this stuff until I got online. I was young and sheltered and really never thought anything was unrealistic. Ah, those were the days.

I never thought about how BUSY the girls must have been all the time. And how totally unrealistic it was that nobody ever needed a baby-sitter between 5:30 and 6:00 MWF.

Definitely didn't know the Jessi's black thing.
Everyone is always saying Stacy is such a sl*t though. Come on she was 13 years old for a long time. Like if it was real time, Robert would have been like all of 8th grade...thats not a lot.

I think even as a kid I wondered why parents never needed sitters at 5:30 MWF. That was always one of the most ridiculous things about the BSC.

^ That never bothered me... Another thing I never thought about. Gee, I wasn't very perceptive as an 8 year old.

I have to admit, I never thought about that until I started posting online. I also never thought about the Pikes' being totally insane, getting knocked up merely weeks after having the triplets not to mention a one yr old.

The Pike's were one thing I did think of as a kid. I didn't understand why their kids were so close in age. I didn't disect it like I would now, just thought it was kind of odd then dismissed it. One thing I never ever thought of was all the inconsistencies (which I just said in that thread, lol) but seriously... never caught a single one as a child.

Ditto about the Pikes. One day I imagined how the family started out, and I realised... ok, they had Mallory... then Mrs Pike instantly gets pregnant with TRIPLETS... then they're born, and they have a ONE year old, and three newborns... and they go and do it again! And again... and again! Then they take a little break, and... AGAIN! Which means they end up with 8 kids age 6 and under. Jesus Christ... WHY? Come to think of it, who'd have time to make babies when they already have 4 to look after(mallory and the triplets)... if that was me, once the triplets had arrived, I'd take some serious measures to make sure no more were going to arrive, at least for a few years!

See, it occured to me that the kids were unusually close in age and I thought they should've been more spaced out so that Mallory could've had an infant sibling and a toddler sibling, but it never occured to me how ridiculous it was that Mrs Pike got knocked up almost immediately after having triplets and even THAT wasn't enough to put her off, because she was pregnant with Nicky not long after Vanessa's arrival!!!
Because we met the Pikes when the kids were school aged, that's how I always thought of them, I guess.

It is odd that the youngest is 5. I mean if they want to have a zillion kids in the Pike family, they could've made Claire like 2 or something. Then again, if they did that, Mal wouldn't be able to refer to them as "stair-step kids" or whatever.
