This isn't exactly a reference but nowhere else logical to put it. I never noticed until recently, in whichever book it was, that the "Lovely Ladies" dialogue is always the same. Never notice that before. Good eye.

Hmm, I've always noticed that because in LS she mentions how they play the game quite a bit.

I turned the channel to a reality show just as a blonde was telling her boyfriend her dad being a workaholic was the reason for her parents' divorce. Stacey!

My mom called Stoneyfield yogurt Stoneybrook yogurt. I wonder how Stoneybrook's yogurt would taste like.

A boy at the school I work at had a copy of Karen's Big Top from the library with him this morning. I didn't figure him to be interested in the series so I thought that was nice.

Fourth grader. Lots of discipline problems. I was happy to take a moment and tell him I read the same books when I was his age

Boo boo, that's pretty cool that the little boy liked reading the BSC books. Not a lot of kids these days, let alone boys, read the BSC books.

Few series hold on longterm. if you read anything about the Stratemeyer syndicate or other series b ooks, there are tons of series we've never heard of or only vaguely recall as old books on the shelves of our libraries. they were never meant to last! Nancy Drew hung on in an unexpected way and I really don't know why!

I saw a Full House episode where Becky interviews a Hollywood star named Todd Masters. That was Derek's little brother, right?

I read yesterday on a Paperback Swap message board that someone's daughter had met her favorite author. It was Raina (BSC graphic novels). There was no BSC mention but for me, of course, there was the connection

I watched First Position (a ballet documentary) tonight, and one of the previews was for a horse documentary. I thought of Mal and Jessi. Also, this made me laugh, I was looking at upcoming reservations at work and someone was listed as "Boo Boo (Last Name)". I assume it's a nick name.

I started watching a movie on TV and didn't know what it was, upon looking on tvguide.com it's "The Black Stallion"! One of Mal and Jessi's favorite movies.
