I think Claudia also said that she was one of the most awesome-looking kids in school. (In Keep Out, Claudia!). As for Kristy looking immature, I think that also has to do with the fact that she doesn't wear makeup or dress up like Stacey or Claudia. So naturally, in their eyes, she looks immature. Yup, that was it. In Stacey's Mistake it was referring to Kristy's manner of dress and lack of makeup.

I think Claudia also said that she was one of the most awesome-looking kids in school. (In Keep Out, Claudia!). That is.... confident, for lack of a better word ;D Jamie Newton is another charge who always makes me laugh with his messed up words. In Claudia and Mean Janine, he beats his chest and yells, "I'm King Corn" at Lucy's christening party ;D

In one of the early books (Claudia and the Phantom Phone Calls, maybe?) I remember Jamie shouting,"Let's play Teeny Mutant Stinky Turtles!"

^ I don't think it was Phantom Phone Calls since I haven't read that one for a long time but just remember reading that quote. It is another good one ;D (It might be in MA Saves the Day or Logan Likes MA as those are early ones I've read lately - now it's going to drive me crazy until I find it ;D)

Jamie said that in Keep Out Claudia. I rememeber because afterwards he started talking about his Boris who lived under th stairs and Claudia tactlessly says, "I meant invite a real friend" ;D

^I don't know why I thought it was an early book, but at least I got the sitter right. ;D

^ Actually, I think he does say something about the "Stinky Turtles" in an early book. Maybe I'm wrong, though. I'll have to keep my eyes open for it now. Jamie is so cute anyway ;D

In SS #4 Baby-sitter's Island Adventure
"SHHH! Logan and I are trying to have an argument." Mary Anne to Dawn...I don't know why, but I just cracked up at this line. It's like they wanted to fight but were having trouble doing so.

It had to be relatively early, when the Turtles were popular (the first time...)

I liked when Jamie Newton was trying to sing "Home on the Range" but kept getting the words wrong: "Oh give me a comb..." I think that one was in Kristy and the Mother's Day Surprise.
And, if we're going with musical moments, I also liked Dawn's attempt at "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds": "The girl with colitis goes by...." ;D (I don't remember which book that was in.)

The Dawn moment was definitely Kristy and the Mother's Day Surprise. When they're making cookies before Emily Michelle gets there.
