Claudia, in #7: "I had a lot of food in my room, but no cereal", after Janine referred to "the Nancy Drew serial".

Haha, awesome. That reminds me of how I once carried a sceptor made with aluminum foil for a school play. I like this one from Kristy's Mystery Admirer:

As much as I can't stand most of Vanessa's poetry, I did like her rendition of O Christmas Tree in Mallory's Christmas Wish: O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, When I chop you down, don't fall on me You smell so nice, you look so green, Excuse my axe for being mean I loved that one. Also Jamie's version from Here Come the Bridesmaids - "O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, don't fall on my head."

^ For years I had Jaimie's in my head! Thanks for reminding me of it!

This is kind of mean and stupid, but I laughed when I read it. The Pike kids were learning fire safety, from Mary Anne to the Rescue: I think the fact that nobody ever really picks on Claire made this one funny to me.

^ I agree. I also found it funny; kind of a typical thing for a brother to say to his little sister ;D.

I read the end of BSC in the USA last night, and Andrew made me laugh. The Southern RV gang was at the San Diego Zoo. Lol. Andrew's only four and he already knows the menacing Look of Kristy.

In "Mallory and the Dream Horse," during the first BSC meeting after Mal has gotten the Kendallwood Farm brochure in her mailbox, she is spacing out thinking about riding. At the end of the meeting Kristy dismisses her by saying, "Time to saddle up your horse and head back to the corral.” (Page 21).

In "Dawn's Big Move," Dawn comments that "Claudia thinks the four food groups are candy, chips, pretzels, and popcorn.” (Page 18) (I'd change that to ice cream, cookies, chips, and french fries. ) A hysterical convo between Dawn and Mrs. Ballmer (possibly Sharon's secretary or the office manager) Page 8 Dawn refers to her own mom as “Sharon Porter Schafer Spier.” On page 62 Dawn calls her mother at work to find out if a decision has been reached about whether she (Dawn) can move. “Good Afternoon, Mrs. Ballmer speaking” “Hi! May I speak to Mrs. Schafer?” I blurted. “Who?” “Mrs….Mrs. Spier?” “No, this is Mrs. Ballmer. B-A-L-L—“ “Sharon! Is Sharon Spier there, please?” “Oh. Uh, just a moment.” “Hello, Sharon Spier, here.” Poor Dawn, doesn't even know her own mother's name!

I've always found this scene from Shadow Lake really funny: I have a lot of mosquito bites right now, so I hear ya Mal
