haha I remember those. I always filled them out when I was a kid. My sister just recently sold all my old BSC books to half price books, and so now whoever buys them will know that I was 8 years old, I read the book in july 1996, my favorite character is mary anne, etc.

I never did. (I don't believe in writing in books) but it still is interesting to read what others have put.

Yeah, I have trouble marking books, too (unless it's something I absolutely will never read again and am marking to review--but when I had literature classes, I hated marking the books I thought I might want to reread!). I was also a little on the old end when the new editions came out to mark them myself, but I get such a kick out of it when I buy a used one and someone else has filled out the pages. I was also totally immoderately excited when I started re-collecting to get enough of the new ones to see everyone's "photo" albums. I love the fake baby pictures so, so much.

I love reading what others have written in the notebooks now that I have all the used books. My favorite that I have is at the back of Dawn's Wicked Stepsister, it asks who you would like to share a room with, and the girl answered with "my dog"

I know some of the comments kids put in the books are pretty funny. Especially the ones I read from the library. I am half-tempted to find these kids and bugging them about it.(of course their now about 15 or 16)

I'll never forget rereading Mallory's Christmas Wish a couple years ago and reading the notebook pages - a little boy named "Clayton" said that he was most like Mary Anne because of "everything."

I have the winner! I just finished reading "Kristy Thomas, Dog Trainer". The stupid girl who had this book clearly must have taken too long on filling this in, because she only finished the first four questions. And she also didn't bother to actually read the questions. This will be typed on here exactly as it is in the book...
The name of my school is Kristy Tomas Dog Train Trainer

I had stopped collecting them by the time the new covers came out, but now that I'm getting them used, it's funny to read what other people wrote. I don't have any funny ones to report, but if I come across any in any readings I'll definitely come back and post them!

I didn't even know about the new covers and the notebook pages until I started re-collecting the books, so obviously I don't have any that I filled out myself. I only have a few that are filled out by some other little kid, but I LOVE them!! I always picture some cute little 8 year old girl writing that she loves Stacey because she's so pretty or something.

I once read a book where a girl thought that she was most like Claudia because she is a bad speller, but she spelt better then Claudia, and she was eight.

Sometime recently me and a friend were really bored and decided to fill out a few notebook pages - I filled out the back of Mary Anne Saves the day as Mallory Pike. The more interesting answers were:
The place where I read most of this book: Claudia's closet (while spying on the BSC)
If I could change anything in this story it might be the part when: Kristy feeds me tuna sandwiches and cold fried chicken
If I could write a BSC book it would be about: Me joining and becoming president
By helping Jenny Prezzioso Mary Anne saves the day...I once saved the day when: Mom and Dad ran out of condoms(trust me, 8 kids is enough).
The rest of it wasn't particularly funny.
