Kristy looks like Abby in the second one. Also Kristy is saying in the first "I want to be elected to be the best for students!" I think? My French isn't the best.

Kristy doesn't look like Kristy to me on the first cover. I honestly thought that she was Claudia. I still think she looks more like Claudia more than Kristy.

These covers are reminding me how lame the class elections were at my school. Titles: Another president position for Christine? (Long, but I don't hate it) Gertie and the big election campaign

This was a bit of a boring read for me. Kristy was pretty oblivious to the fact she was just too busy to be president on top of all the other things she does on a daily basis. Was this the only time that Kristy was late to meetings? Would've loved to see the reaction of the rest of the BSC to that. lol. I felt like the BSC pushed her into running for president, only Mary Anne seemed to realize she was too busy from the beginning.

Not one of the better ones, but it was alright. I think it did a decent job of portraying stress and having too much on your plate (I've never been like this and I've never truly understood people who take on too much unnecessarily, but I know some who are like this).
Almost all the other books I've reviewed have been on Kindle, but I actually picked this one up (original cover) at Goodwill. It apparently came with a BSC bookmark, but it was ripped out. Boo and bullfrogs.
Also, for some reason, this one felt like it had a lot of editing mistakes. Stuff like too many or two little quotes, awkward comma usage, etc. I have noticed mistakes in the Kindle versions that I'm pretty sure weren't in the printed books (I think one time a word ended in d when it should've ended in cl. Something like that). Idk why, it was just very noticeable in this one. Maybe the editing got worse as the series went on?
I felt like Stacey and Claudia were pushing Kristy to run and I don't... really get why? It's just weird to me. They know she's already really busy. They even got on her about not having her speech ready, and this was after she failed a test (also, in my school, a 60 would have been passing. Lowest passing grade possible, but still). I'm not sure it's out of character exactly, just kind of out of place. All because of Mary Poppins. Also, not sure why that's suddenly babyish since it's Stacey's (Miss Sophisticate) favorite movie. I do think that letting the students choose the class play is kind of a cool idea, but I'm not sure that's realistic.
Do you think this was kind of a soft setup for Starring the Baby-sitters Club? Might be a stretch, but it mentions the class play, and maybe the kids voted on Peter Pan. Just a fun thought, that book is pretty close to this one according to the chronological order of publication thread.
The Jamie subplot was annoying and boring. Nothing else to say about it.
