This book is a great one, one of the best Mal ones Ann loves old diaries, I swear a similar thing happens in 10 kids no pets! I would totally cringe if I found my old diaries, and I would make sure to rip them up. I was all I love so and so, alot. I got rid of mine before I moved out of home. I was so, so worried hubby would find and read them!!

I think the reason I never kept a diary is because my mom is the world's biggest snoop and would have found it no matter how well it was hidden ;D Of course, I'm a "snoop," too, which might be one reason I love this book and the whole idea of finding a diary, though the historical aspect makes it even more appealing to me.

I have an old diary that I kept for about a year. But it's really embarrassing because I wrote it when I was a pre-teen (about 11), and pre-teens always try to sound really cool and grown-up when they write, clearly reflected cringedly in that diary

I kept a ton of diaries/journals when I was little, but I would lose motivation to write every day so the middle of them were always just filled with to-do lists or sketches...I threw them all away this past summer, there was like 12 or 13 total. It was freeing!

I just re read this book today and enjoyed it a lot more then I remembered. I thought the tutoring between Mallory and Buddy was really cute. I actually enjoyed the mystery too, I always wanted to find an old diary and uncover a mystery like that.

I still have my diary that i got for my 14th birthday...almost ten years ago (um... bday in one month..november 3rd..mark it on your calendars heheh). It's laying around somehwere, and every now and then I'll pick it up and write in it. I was such a dork, I'll go back and reread some of my diary entries... from my crushes... Um I was a bit ... stalkerish on one... to the trials and tribulations of eighth grade, trials and tribulations of high school, my niece's 6th birthday (yeah she'll be 15 this year), tping my basketball coach's car (I was a manager..not on the team)... haha to listing all my new friends...cause in high school I actually HAD lots of friends... thanks to choir and acting. I cringe reading that stuff now... and hope to god someone never finds it. I didnt' write everything in my diary, because part of me was afraid that someone would find it and read it. Another thing I did? I took after Anne Frank who named her diary Kitty, and named my diary... Judy. As in Judy Garland... as in Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz... Yeah, I got the diary during my first year as a Judy crazed fan. I haven't read this book in awhile... I should probably go and find it somewhere. THey might have it at half priced books.

Haha I was exactly the same, except it was when I was 10. It was the first time I'd ever watched the movie, and I was obsessed with it and became a huge fan of Judy Garland. My Mum kept this report I wrote about Judy when I was 10, basically saying that I loved her performance in The Wizard of Oz and wished that she hadn't taken drugs and died...

It'd be really funny to read over if I could pretend someone else had written it!

I actually had a diary named Judy at one point, too. When I was nine, I had a Judy Blume Memory Book, so I wrote my diary entries in it to Judy. You can actually read it in its entirety here (it's not very long). Not all of it will make sense, but at least you can read about my BSC obsession at age nine!

I cannot believe there were so many Judy diaries amongst us, that is hilarious. I never named my journals though.
