On the cover of Jessi & the Bad Baby-sitter, they're in Claudia's room and on her wall is a painting of 4 hershey's kisses - did she paint that in this book? I am reading the Jessi book now and that made me think of her junk food art

^ I don't think they mentioned Claud's junk food art in Jessi and the Bad Babysitter, but I liked seeing the hershey's kisses picture on the cover! I couldn't believe it - continuity in the covers! Wow.

Mr and Mrs Wilder weren't sponging off Rosie, I don't think. I always got the impression that whatever she earnt went towards a college fund or something... Did the books ever specifically mention that? Yeah, Rosie told Claudia that the money she made from teh chocolate milk commercial was her college tuition, and Claudia didn't understand what she meant, so Rosie explained to her that all of her earnings go into a trust fund.

I laughed out loud every time I read the description of the drawing he put up with the toothless man sloppily eating a candy bar. I'm giggling just remembering it. I have to go reread that later. That's so one of my favorite parts too...I crack up every time. I also like the guy in the tweed coat that steps on gum...he talks about Dadaists or something and Janine tells Claud later that what he said made no sense. This book has always been a fave, from the beginning where she messes up the time on the VCR to record the Warhol documentary to the part where Stacey has to read a script with Rosie in front of Uncle Dandy. Love it.

^Uncle Dandy! It cracked me up when Claudia noticed that the lights on the sign were broken so it looked like it said UNCLE ANDY'S TAR MACHINE.

What I find extremely alarming was Uncle Dandy's speech to the kids on his show - "Boys and girls, this is a super duper big day. It's our premiere show!... I want you to know that Uncle Dandy is behind you a hundred and a half percent. I want you to have the BESTEST, FUNNEST, UNCLE DANDIEST time! Rememeber we're one big happy family! ;D " Wtf

It also didn't help that he wore a piece and it started to slip off his head on live television. Heh.

^Uncle Dandy! It cracked me up when Claudia noticed that the lights on the sign were broken so it looked like it said UNCLE ANDY'S TAR MACHINE. I swear that to this day, almost every time I see a sign with one or more of the letters burnt out, I think of UNCLE ANDY'S TAR MACHINE.

Oh my god, someone drew the dead cat by the candy wrapper. That totally made my week.

I enjoyed this book, and found the Alan bits funny too. Rosie was annoying me at first, cause i was impatient waiting for her to lighten up to Claud, like I knew was going to happen.
