I think she's too shy and self conscious to be a regular classroom teacher (25-30 sets of eyes on her all day?). I can see her teaching in one on one or small group settings; maybe a resource room teacher or school speech therapist. I can also see her working in a hospital as an occupational therapist or child life specialist (google it if you don't know what that is).

^i think resource teacher would be a good fit. My dad was a special education teacher and had a small number of students all the time. I think that would appeal to Mary Anne.

Resource teacher would be a good job. But I could also see Jessi doing that too.

I saw a fic where someone wrote her as a child psychiatrist.

I can see Mary Anne working as a teacher at for a few years, before becoming a counselor.

I can completely see Mary Anne making those career choices...she's good with kids and great at reading people.
