She definitely reminds me of some of the people I know who've gone to library school! (But "in a good way," as Dawn would say. No, seriously, I  librarians.) She'd be a good children's/YA specialist.
Which doesn't preclude a bit of stalking. . .

or tantrums over why the books still aren't exactly like the author's lives.

When Mallory matures, I see her as ending up at library school until she sells her novel.

I definitely think she'd spend some time as a librarian. I could see her as a childrens' librarian in particular.

This is hard... I'm stuck between Author and Librarian. I'll come back.

i think mallory will probably end up as a librarian, mostly because i don't see her EVER getting her book published. she has such messed up views over what makes a good piece of literature (freaking out that HH's book wasn't straight from real life, that horrible play where she puts her family on blast, etc) that i just don't think she would be successful. she'll keep trying though. haha.

I picked a teacher. I think Mallory will first try high or elementary school only to find out that the students are a bunch of little brats then gets a higher degree and becomes an adjunct professor at a community college.

I just don't see mallory being a professor at all, a TA or mentor maybe, or working at a college library.

I always read the author bios in the backs of books and it's amazing how many children's/young adult authors are teachers. I can see Mallory keep trying at writing while she keeps a "real" job until she gets something published. Because, let's be real, there's plenty of crappy books out there that somehow got made. I can't see her illustrating her stuff on her own like she want to.

Maybe she would take on the job of a ghostwriter for a popular children's series like Pony Pals. She would eventually become disgruntled for not getting credit for her writing and little girls would cry when they had to read her stuff, like, Pony Pals #376 When Ponies Attack.
