I like the New Year's Eve party in Dawn's Big Date, and I think a Super Special centred around New Year's in some way would be fun.

I mean this in a friendly way, but I have to say that I laughed when a Memorial Day SS was mentioned. Yawn! I agree...Memorial Day isn't that interesting for most of us. I also don't think an Easter SS would work (I think that was suggested upthread?). While some people don't celebrate the religious aspect of it, leaving it out entirely would be obvious and weird. I also can't see the BSC getting into that part of it, since there was so little mention of religion to begin with. So...yeah, Easter in BSC land would be a bit much to fill up a whole super special.

^ I could see there being long, drawn-out chapters about an Easter Egg hunt that is Kristy's "big idea" or Jessi playing a black bunny

I like the idea of a Halloween SS although I guess this is technically done in the SM where they visit Salem.
I also like the idea of a Christmas/NYE SS. We always had winter break from right before Christmas through Jan 2nd or so so it seems like a logical time frame for a BSC book.

I keep thinking of these weird Honey, I Shrunk the Baby-sitters type scenarios. I think I just really want to read the inevitable chapter where Tigger thinks Mary Anne is a bug and tries to eat her. I don't know.

I'm thinking this is why they also added super mysteries, though one mystery aside from island adventure would have made a nice super-special, and giving the story from different angles
Though I know there have been books about being filmed and movies already, maybe some book where they get a chance to promote the club on tv, on a local show for kids or on a tv station would have made a good plot, like counting down the days or weeks before the tv appearance and all the girls dealing with other things going on, like someone getting nervous or insecure before the taping about how their hair will look or panicking over a pimple, mary anne suddenly getting too shy and fighting with dawn who keeps getting agitated with her, jessi being so busy with an upcoming performance and having to miss a ballet class or two and being over-worried, stuff like that.

^ Yes, that will be good Super Special for Baby-Sitters Club. They go to a murder mystery dinner. They each tell, how it happen in their own way.
