I voted for Starring the BSC. Honestly it was a toss up between this and "Aloha."
I decided that this story engaged me less than the other. The fact that all the BSC members were so prominently involved was questionable had they been "real" people. Dawn rants about how sexist the Play was...who was forcing her to be in it, exactly? Then she got angry (didn't she)? about not getting the part she wanted. MA was almost at her "I want you out of my life forever" worst. So whinily mean to as always poor Mallory. None of that was at all necessary. Jessi, the "ballet star" turned last minute crocodile? I guess it could be taken as a humorous play on how awful her character is..but was Jackie that afraid of the boy playing the croc? Or was this yet another reminder that girls can and should play any and all roles? I agree with that type of thinking but imo Peter Pan is a male character, not Kristy or true real life impersonations of.
What I did like about this SS was the idea or premise that all 3 Stoneybrook Schools would be involved. That I thought had a lot of promise. In "Aloha" Claudia's baby-sitting job was sort of interesting as was Kristy/Mal being the two Stoneybrook sitters. The rest of that book was blah.

I haven't read the last 3 but I remember being bored with Babysitters Island adventure. It took a while for them to get stranded on the island, though I liked the chapters on the island the rest of the BSC were pretty much limited to worrying about Dawn and Claudia and looking for them.

^ welcome, icebot. i've been looking at the number of members lately, wondering who would be next. i'm excited that we have an even 600 members now :]
ps. i can;t stand baby sitters remember. it's just a super special of a portrait, and i don't even care for those that much.

Aloha. I liked the more serious parts but found myself pretty bored with it in general.

I voted for Aloha, Babysitters. It had a lot of potential but just ended up boring. I like the super specials for their extra humor. This one took itself too seriously.
First runner up is BSC Remembers for the same reason as Old Hickory.

^I felt gypped by Baby-sitters' Remember. I went into reading it the first time hoping it would provide more info about the BSC, it's history, and perhaps memories of jobs past that might not have been contained in former books. Either that or enhanced descriptions of events that had previously taken place.

I TOTALLY agree with icebot - Island Adventure bored me, too. I reread it again after YEARS thinking maybe I hadn't given it much of a chance, and I still didn't care for it. I haven't read Aloha yet, but I hope to soon. Maybe my opinion will change after I read it!

I liked all the Super Specials, but I think the one I enjoyed the least was " Babysitters Remember". Some of the chapters I did like, but others really bored me.

Either that or enhanced descriptions of events that had previously taken place. This would've been so much better. The baby-sitters had boring most memorable moments. I thought winter vacation was boring too. The only part I remember liking in this was Claudia, Stacey, and the cute boy storyline.

^Maddieruns, the memories the BSC shared were very boring and could have easily been included into their Portraits instead. Winter Vacation could have been much better as well. A lot of the Sitters' experiences were recycled: Mal the Spy, Dawn homesick, brooding, yet refusing to make the best out of a vacation, Jessi automatically claiming being the victim of racism yet refusing until near the very end to be "mature" and talk to Pinky. Then, of course, there was yet another Jessi saves the day with a dancing routine, so beyond boring! Mary Anne writing the history of Leicester Lodge had potential but fizzled. A random idea, maybe it could have somehow been tied into the Mullrays--MA could have asked one of the workers if they had ever heard of that legend. I am not much into ghost stories but wished the Mullray legend had been revisited. Let's see, what else? Oh lol MA pining over Logan in Aruba while she had nightmares about all the exotic girls he was with. Sort of like Logan did with Alex in SS #10. But even that was better written. Unless MA, really was thinking Logan was actually hooking up physically with those gals? I mean her "concern" almost hinted at that, didn't it? The Kristy/contest part was...not bad....Claudia, of course was the "Judge" of the snowPerson contest, and hey at least it was her not Stacey who had the crush on the much older and married (unlike Wes),in this case man.
The subplot of the kids' accident...I still don't believe that none of their parents came to make sure they were okay. The bus tipped over FFS! Also that all their teachers were truly out of commission. I do normally enjoy (most) Sitting chapters but this was pushing it!

I voted for "Island Adventure." I just didn't think it was very well-written, even in terms of BSC books.
I'm surprised that "BSC Remembers" has gotten votes; I always thought that was a popular one!

^I always really liked Remember, never found it boring (except for Mary Anne's and Logan's chapters)

I'm surprised that no one voted for BSC in the USA. It seems like it's an unpopular one.

^I like it, mostly because a road trip across the U.S. sounds super fun.
