I think this would be MA. She just doesn't really have a grip on her emotions and I think would get so overwhelmed by any shift or change. Eventually things would catch up to her and she would flip. Kind of want to say Mary Anne too.

I think this would be Mary Anne. She just doesn't really have a grip on her emotions and I think would get so overwhelmed by any shift or change. Eventually things would catch up to her and she would flip. No, I think I see Mary Anne gain a better grip on her emotions as she grows. Being highly sensitive is not a character flaw and is not a sign of emotional instability. Twenty percent of the human population is naturally highly sensitive. Don't forget that Mary Anne's grandmum Verna is also highly sensitive and emotionally stable. I actually think Mary Anne is among one of the least likely to suffer a breakdown. Remember also that during the books, she had Dr. Reese to talk to. My bet on on Logan these days...I don't think he quite has his life together and I still see Lyman as overbearing and controlling, even with Logan and his siblings as adults. I see Lyman as attempting to orchestrate his kids' lives, even after they're grown. That's what gave me the fanfic idea of Kerry becoming secretly pregnant at fourteen and turning to the BSC for help and Kerry wanting to keep it a secret from her family. Actually, despite the outward sense of calm that the Bruno family put forth, behind closed doors was quite a bit of turmoil and chaos. And this is all in addition to the chaos I suspect is happening in Logan and Hunter's lives now.

Some people say Mary Anne. You say Logan. Relax. It's okay. Logan and Hunter do not have "lives now." Your fanfic ideas have nothing to do with other people's opinions. If someone thinks MA is prone to emotional instability, it's an observation, not an insult against a fictional character you're defending to the death.

True...but I still think Logan is the one most likely to have a breakdown. Even in the books, the odds are stacked against Logan's future stability.

I think it was the reason Mary Anne saw a therapist before she reached a breaking point, which is why I see her least likely to suffer a complete breakdown.
Shannon could be another possibility of a future breakdown, especially if she pushes herself too hard or feels pressured to try "a little bit of everything."
I've seen kids in her position and often those teens end up suffering from depression, especially when they get little down time and when they end up as dilettantes...dabbling in a million activities without having a real chance to become good or truly experienced at anything in particular.
