I have a question: How come Stacey got more books than the others and how come Jessi got more than Mallory, when she(Mal) was in the series way before her?

Stacey got the most books because she was the most popular. As to why Jessi got more books than Mallory, I don't know. Maybe Mallory was too whiney for some fans.

And does anybody know who were the least favorite between fans?

The least favorite sitters between fans would probably be Jessi and Mallory because they didn't have as many books as the older girls. Maybe Abby could added to the least favorite between fans as well because of how late she came in the series.

I am really surprised at the length of time between books - for example, #82 was a Jessi book and then she didn't have another one till #103 - over 20 books later! Same with Mallory, who had #92 and then SIXTEEN Books later had #108. I realise they were the least popular but still seems like they suddenly remembered 'Oh, we have to give them a book soon". I also notice with Mary Anne or Kristy I think, sometimes it is a gap of about 10 books till their next one. On that, does anyone know or have suggestions for how they decided the order of the girls getting a book - like how they chose to have Stacey have a book, then a Dawn, then a Mary Anne, then three books later another Stacey, etc. Due to the sometimes large gaps between books for the girls (such as Jessi or Mallory as above), I have always been curious how they worked out the order of "who gets a turn to have a book" next! Any thoughts?
