There's the Christmas Chiller, which I think is super mystery 4.

Snowbound takes place near Christmas although the theme is not entriely Christmassy. There's also Secret Santa.

I just looked through my collection, and I think they've already been mentioned! Oh - Stacey and the Mystery of the Empty House is Christmas. Can't think of any others, though.

Why are all the Christmas books later books? I don't have any of those listed

They were too busy celebrating Halloween and Valentine's Day in the earlier books

With some help from the Wikipedia list of BSC books, I noticed that they really do skip over Christmas in a lot of books! Maybe they were afraid of the religious affiliations? #49 is Claudia and the Genius of Elm Street, with no reference to winter, as far as I can tell, and #50 is Dawn's Big Date, where she makes her super-feminist New Year's resolution to get a boyfriend. And then in the next book there is a Valentine's Day dance. Mary Anne's Makeover is another book with references to New Year's resolutions (Dawn does mention that Christmas just happened), but the book preceding it is Mallory Hates Boys (and Gym), which I personally adore but is not Christmas-y at all. There's Thanksgiving in Get Well Soon, Mallory, and I believe it is January or February again two books later, with no Christmas in between. I think Kristy mentions that it is either January or February in Kristy and Mr. Mom, and the girls had celebrated Halloween two books before. #92, Mallory's Christmas Wish, looks like the first regular BSC book with a Christmas-themed plot. How funny for the BSC to have no Christmases for 91 books and then three from 92-114.
Did many of the Super Specials take place during Christmas? I remember Here Come the Bridesmaids! did, but I'd guess that if a lot of them did, maybe AMM thought it'd be overkill to have Christmas in the regular books, too?

I remember a Christmas special with the tv series. I had the video. It was something about a hospital and toys for sick kids. It's been a while.
Maybe AMM & Co didn't want to alienate the non-Christian readers with too much Christmasy stuff? There were a disproportionate amount of Valentines Days and Halloweeens.
Edit: And rereading these comments, which I skimmed at first, I realized that pretty much everything I mentioned has already been said. Excellent.

They were too busy celebrating Halloween and Valentine's Day in the earlier books Hee. So true. That's right. The super specials usually came out in June and December, so there were a lot of wintery ones, if not necessarily Christmassy. How could I forget about Here Come the Bridesmaids and the 11 year old girl Santa?

I just reread "Claudia and the First Thanksgiving" last night, and the ;etter from Ann in the back said that it was one of the first holiday themed books in the series, and it was #91 or #92. I was surprised, but I guess it's right. I don't know if religion has anything to do with it, though. Plenty of people who aren't religious at all celebrate Christmas.

Halloween brought scary stories, Valentines Day brought luv, but there's not a lot of variations you can do with Christmas. I don't really want to hear about them getting presents.
I checked the title list for the Little Sister books and it's pretty much the same thing. The first super special was a (quite good) Christmas one, and then nothing til the end of the series. Then it seems like every tenth book is Christmas again.

Thats quite surprising, but come to think of it, makes sense. They are only in the later ones, which sucks cause I wont have read that far by Christmas. Will have to read the SV Christmas ones

I always noticed that their was a lot more Christmas themed books towards the end of the series, and always wondered why they were so late. However in the LS series I noticed a few Christmas books earlier in the series.
