^ Hahaha! (She probably wouldn't have cared. ) These girls' opinions of guys change so dramatically, what with Howie being date material in one book, then disgusting in another. Same goes with Alan- they hate his guts all through their school careers, and then suddenly Claudia is dating him and Stacey thinks he's kinda cute!

They went to a couple of dances together early in the series.

I went to the Zoo today and all I could think about was this book. I almost wanted protesters at the gate and someone letting animals out of their cages, just for excitement... hehe. I think this just about fits in the topic "You know when your obsessed with the BSC when..."

Some one letting zoo animals out of their cages?? that's scary. Who is Kristy to tell Stacey that she can't baby-sit for Charlotte? That would be up to the parents to decide that.

I don't care to stir up a debate on zoos but have to say this re-reading was the first time I truly noticed this comment by MA on page 50. Maybe it's just me but I didn't care for the nasty undertones of that statement. I'd read about animal rights activists who set laboratory animals free, so I wouldn't be surprised if one of them did try to let the animals out of their cages.Skipping to much lighter things, , MA on the cover does indeed resemble one very angry, young boy. Does anyone really wear T's with pockets THAT big and oddly placed--it looked like it was slapped on last minute. Also, yet another cover where someone (in this case MA) is conveniently facing the "wrong" (or very strange) way or looking away from the "solution" to a mystery or problem. I think the funniest part of this book was when MA, Logan, and some of the others were following "the spies" around the Zoo.

I just read this for the first time, I figured out it was Chester pretty quickly. The protestors seemed too obvious, and no one else had motivation.
Alan and Logan was kind of annoying, kristy was the most annoying though.
Are there Gorilla's out there that can atcually sign? I'm curious.

^Yes, there are! The most famous one I can think of is Koko...I read "Koko's Kitten" a gazillion times when I was younger.

i was talking to my friend (who knows sign) and asked her what matt was saying on the cover. she said he is making the sign for "show me," which actually totally makes sense. so good for you, hodges!

I liked reading about the zoo. The fight between Logan and Alan was kind of annoying. I like how Stacey remained calm while Kristy wasn't calm.

I wonder how Hodges knew the sign for "Show me."
