but do think a lot of things are gross and like to be clean so the soda thing totally grossed me out, too. I know lots of people do it, though. I just know I wouldn't. ;D I especially wouldn't share something with Howie and Alan, who aren't close friends and "icky" boys anyway. ;D Yes,I agree. LOL,what if Alan and Howie were sick and they just had to do they're project,to get the prize? Poor Mary Anne ;D.

in russia it's a sign of friendship so i got used to it really quickly. this one boy in my lit class had a huge crush on me and bought me a saint necklace and stuff and he asked for a sip of my pepsi during our class break and when i said, "no i'm sick," he got really offended and stopped having a crush on me,

^ Another reason for me not to go to Russia. ;D If anyone would have had the bad luck to get sick from drinking after someone else, it would be me. ;D (Or Mallory ;D)

I'm not that disturbed by it. I'm a very clean person, but I do share drinks with people. Sometimes I think twice about it, but I have no real qualms about drinking out of someone else's cup, if they are a clean person. I've also shared both lollipops and gum with my best friends -- I used to go out at night a lot, and that isn't really that unusual, I guess. Sometimes I ration this stuff to myself as it doesn't matter that much, as we've all swapped plenty of spit through various men anyway... I liked this book, a lot. I liked reading about the zoo (another stoneybrook location, yay!), and I even sort of liked the mystery. ANd I really liked non bsc interactions with people their own age.

How weird of him .

^ ;D He sounds..... interesting. I really liked it in this book how they bring Matt to the zoo to communicate with the gorilla. I'm always interested in special "detective abilities" like lip reading that some deaf people have more of but had never considered sign language being one of these until I read this book. I thought it was a pretty good idea and like Matt, anyway. ;D

I'm reading this now, and I just had to stop to point out that Logan is the nicest 13 year old boyfriend in the world. Taking both his girlfriend and her step-sister to the movies, and paying for both of them, plus donating to the save the baby elephant fund? Of course, I used to pay for people all the time, but that was back when my money wasn't really my money. ;D So I guess it could be the same thing. Awfully nice of the Brunos to pay for Logan to date two girls.

^i think mr. bruno would like that. he seems to want his son to be studly. i can see the brunos absolutely forbidding logan to ever allow ma (or dawn!) to pay for anything.

^ I can see that too. Another reason I wouldn't mind dating Logan. ;D Agree about liking him in this one. His interaction/fight with Alan always makes me laugh.

Oh I didn't say I liked him. ;D
I would feel awkward in Dawn's place. Being asked to tag along to the movies with your step-sister and her boyfriend. It's kind of a pity date. I know not everyone would see it that way, and it all depends on the people and the circumstances. But there are always a few minutes when you are the 3rd person when you feel really out of place.

Yeah my closest friend here is a guy with a girlfriend, and I'm friends with the girlfriend too but sometimes it can be awkward to hang out with them, like when they have a domestic spat.

Kristy is really obnoxious in this book. I can't believe she won't put aside her differences with Stacey to work on a school project. Plus the way she behaved when she saw Stacey sitting -- No, Kristy, you do not have a monopoly on all the sitting jobs in Stoneybrook. Remember back when you got your Great Idea? You wanted to put everyone's number on the flyer so parents could, if they wanted, call you guys individually.
