Wow, what a great list! I think the first time I tried to read Wuthering Heights it was because of BSC.

I think it also made me curious about Blueberries for Sal. I still haven't read it, but it sounds like a cute story from the summary
Caps for Sale was read to us in elementary school, it was in Mary Anne's Kid Kit as well

I just read it the first time a couple weeks ago. A friend of a friend is having a Blueberries for Sal birthday party for her daughter. I don't recall reading anything because of BSC, although I read a lot of Nancy Drew (maybe that was subconsciously due to Claudia). I did recently read Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel a couple weeks ago because of Ramona the Pest. The crazy thing is that the little girl I baby sit had never read it before and correctly predicted the surprise ending!

I also remembered the Steam Shovel book mentioned in some Little Sister book, I think it was either when Karen was teaching Andrew how to read in the Three Musketeers book (or mentioned in the back as a recommendation), or in Karen's School as one of the books that was read to them. I remember it the most from Beezus & Ramona and Ramona the Pest though, I'll bet sales went up at that time!
That's cute about the blueberries for sal party, far less common from a disney princess party like one would expect

Thank you, Boo Boo for your list! I just did a search for books mentioned in the BSC and found this thread, I knew we had one somewhere. I finally placed a library hold on a couple Georgie books and also Bea and Mr. Jones, mentioned in Jessi and the Troublemaker, I was reading that one due to recent discussion of it. I will have to look voer this thread right now.

After re-reading 'Baby-sitters Island Adventure', I got intrigued by the reference to this book called 'Baby Island' and googled it to see if it was real (obviously not an option when I read it for the first time as a kid). It turns out that it is; www.amazon.com/Baby-Island-Carol-Ryrie-Brink/dp/0689717512Has anyone here actually read it?

I read a lot of them, but not because they were bsc. A couple that I didn't read look interesting. There was a tree in Brooklyn that I started but it was boring.

(at the same time I did With you and without you, Ann M Martin )

I started reading the Little House books after that scene in Karen's Lemonade Stand where Karen and Hannie read each other chapters of Little House on the Prairie during the storm and power outage.

I read Nancy Drew because of Claudia. I also read ghost stories because of Dawn but I don't think I've read the specific ghost stories she read, though.
