Zoar, I am a seasonal BSC reader, like I do read BSC in the USA in the summer or Snowbound in the winter.

I also go months without reading any, then read a bunch all at once. I think the last time I read a BSC book was back in January.

I read them in spurts too. I might leave them for awhile but I do eventually come around to them again.

That explains why we don't have much to talk about around here. Nobody is actually reading the books.

I'm still pretty far from finishing it, but there are quite a few I have never read so I think it will be fun to read the whole series in order and have there be "new" ones.

^That's what I did with the regular series. I meant to start reading the mysteries this summer, and now it's already the end of June. I've only read the first third of them, and that was over twenty years ago, so they'll all be new to me.

i have read absolutely everything except for a few friends forever and CD books that have so far eluded me, but lately i read maybe one or two a month. i have really made it a point to get to my library more often this summer so i am reading books for the first time rather than rereading books.

Man, I can't believe how many of you have read all or almost all of the books! Did you get really lucky at thrift stores, or did you have to buy a lot of the books online?

I bought a lot of them online, mostly through Ebay and Amazon. Truthfully, I've spent a lot of money on collecting the series. Especially since I bought the leftover books I needed individually and that adds up with shipping and such. Plus I've schlepped across country twice and brought all my books with me and paid for the shipping on that. It may seem ludicrous to outsiders but I'm sure many of us on here will understand the love for the books and not wanting to part with them. There's also one of the only things I have that still connects me to my childhood.

I bought all of them while they were still in print, if I'm remembering correctly. There are some I misplaced or got badly damaged in a basement flood, and then I would buy lots on ebay and then sell the doubles. There used to be a BSC sell/trade community on LJ that was pretty active.

Mine are a combo of my original copies, a library sale and a ton of thrift store shopping. I had to buy one out of all of them on Amazon because I never could find it anywhere.

Or you could ask around here. There are at least a few here that have doubles.
