Thanks for sharing, Shannon. I had never heard Ann speak before so it was cool to listen to some of her words while seeing some favorite (Karen's Ducklings for one) LS book covers. I wonder if these papers are going to be made public? If so, if any of you are at Smith College, it would be awesome to hear that you got to look at them in person.

I think it usually means you can call up the library and ask to see them and they will grant you access for say, one hour. Like I know anybody can come look at JD Salinger's papers provided they follow the provisions he put in place, and I think Ann would be far less picky than JD Salinger!

Thanks, Greer. I never thought it would be possible to make a computer-like reservation for papers but maybe the library looks at them like a reference book. Except unlike use of (most) reference books the papers are not made public unless requested. Lol, we could have our own papers for some of our extensive BSC fan research.

No problem, I saw someone posted this on Live Journal and thought that BSC fans here might enjoy it as well.

Ann answered the question on her facebook about whether you can go see the collection. She posted a picture of a display of drafts and notes from Belle Teal, so I think it will definitely be very accessible to the public and may have its own little room/section. Very cool and very worth a trip if you're going to be in Massachusetts!
