Do any of you already have one up? I don't have the space for a full sized tree either real or artificial. I love the idea of a living tree, even planted in a small planter. I also feel badly that after a few weeks....though I guess no different than cut flowers in a vase. Mallory might like some of the sparkly paper trees I've seen, I would prefer no glitter but it's good to know that type is an option, same with plastic or small tabletop. What type of tree if any will be in your home this Christmas?

A small plastic tree will be up. I'll put a few decorations on it.

^Boo Boo, a counter sized tree actually sounds perfect for me. Where did you get it?

I'm not sure. It's an oldie, but it's certainly held up well over the years!

I think we'll get a real one but that's still a topic we have to discuss!

Thanks, Boo Boo. I saw today at Von's a smaller planted real Christmas tree. The florist lady just to be sure and water it. I will look around next week at options. I would enjoy being able to put on some ornaments. I got a cross-shaped one of The Holy Family that might be too big for the Von's tree earlier this week. Right now it's hanging on the wall. I did buy and will have to "build" a cardboard nativity scene so can always create my own Christmas display.
Hugs, Alnmom. That sounds lovely and can travel with you wherever you go. Good idea about a poinsettia or I've seen some small flowering plants with colored buds, reminded me of the dyed daisies I got a couple years ago.

We don't have one because the cats would knock it over

^One of mine tries to chew the lights. She's like a rodent.
I HATE real trees. They give me the worst headache.

Every Thursday within the LA Times we get a local paper. Inside that was an ad from Anawalt--I think they are a smaller Lowe's. Anyway there was a coupon for $15 off of $15, yes you read that right! We did call to confirm and was told they do sell potted trees, I will be going there next week.

I am editing this older post to show a picture of my actual tree decorated. In the background you will see a framed picture of the Holy Family, I plan to hang that up after Christmas and a couple other things. I spread out a few other Christmas decorations along my BSC book wall. The splotches on the wall you may be wondering about, I need to hire Logan (didn't he do house painting in one book)? to fix that. Over the summer, management company sent a handyman to remove old nails and fill in some holes in that wall. He has yet to return to paint, thus the plaster. The brighter white lol looks better than the color of the wall so it works and I may cover it all with wrapping paper one day. Maybe Claudia could help with that. Anyway here is my little Tree: Merry early Christmas everyone!
