I found my own last night from 6 years ago

That is a very cool intro (I was referring to someone named ValueMeal2). I'm from CA, too and am also an "older" BSC fan. From one of the other threads, my favorite sitter is Kristy, least favorite Dawn or Abby, and favorite charge (this is hard)! I'll say Jamie Newton though I loved Charlotte and the Pikes, too. Mona

As a P.S. to my first post from today, Abby because of her impressions may be my least favorite sitter. Kristy still my favorite and Jamie my very favorite charge. I do enjoy reading about the Pikes and Charlotte is sweet. As a LS fan now, I have enjoyed so much getting to know Andrew.

I thought it would be fun to look back from where we each started on here as we get ready to move to a new board. I sincerely thank all of you for your welcome and friendship over the many years. When I think that I lurked for a year and half because I didn't think my BSC interest would last I also in my defense was busier at the time, other priorities, things going on. Thank you to all of you for keeping me logging in all these years. I have said many a time and will always mean it, I am a huge BSC fan, I think we all know that . I have kept my account and check in still daily because I think a lot of all of you.

To any lurkers or potential new members, welcome. This is a special place and I look forward to meeting you.

ETA: Kylie and Boo Boo, Greer, too...Please let me know if this belongs in Meeting Adjourned. I figured most of our first posts were probably book or character related so could go here.

^Boo Boo, if you want to find it, go to Search then type in select your name where it asks for "by" Then enter in the date when you first signed up. I should have said this initially to anyone who wanted to look.

I did the By, and the date, but still nothing. Hmm, maybe my search tool is broken haha.

I can't figure out the search, either. When I look in my profile my posts only go back to mid 2013. I joined on Feb. 9, 2006, but I don't remember if I posted on that day.

I'm sorry, the search is complicated. I have used it to look up some books and you have to be very precise. Anyway, I did figure out an easier way to find your first post instead of time period. Go to Search Page. Where is says who to search, go to the first box that says by at least one of the members. That will open a small box that says "who to search." Type in your username and click onto it to select and then done. You should be back at the original search page but now see your name on that screen.

Second, go to "When to Search." Find the "Only on the exact date" box. Enter into that box the day you signed up. You need to do that by year, month, and day so today would be 2014-03-24

Finally, bottom right hand corner, click onto "search." That should do it.

If any of you are interested in locating your first post and need help doing so, let me know. If you would rather I PM it to you so that you could read it and choose whether or not to post it that is perfectly fine, I will do that. I would want your okay anyway.

Hated how Jessi's dance teachers taught class multiple times a week but were so overwhelmed by the little kids that Jessi and Quint had to take over. Very recently and was a post on the poor Mallory thread. But I lurked for a good year before posting.

Here's mine! I followed that up with quite a few posts in book threads.

I can't believe I found this place! I thought I was the only person in my mid twenties who still reads the Baby Sitters Club, but I'm glad to see I'm not. I started reading the books when I was a kid...in fact, my best friend and I used to fight over who introduced who to the series, and which one of us liked them more!

Right now, I'm collecting the whole series via ebay...I had quite a few back in the day, but nowhere NEAR all of them. To top it off, I actually got rid of some of them several years ago. Needless to say, I'm sad about that now. I'll get over it; I'm getting close to having all the books!
