Another one who loves that part. I love the blossoming relationship between Kristy and Watson. She comes really far throughout the series with accepting him and growing close to him.

I think Kristy's relationship with Watson and how it grew was actually one of my favorite parts of the whole series. It just was interesting to see how she didn't like him at all in the beginning and at the end, she was really close to him.

^ Totally agree. He went from being "jerky" to someone she thought of like a dad. That was nice, especially since Patrick was such a jerk.

I never saw Watson as being "jerky"at all. Were there any instances that explained why Kristy thought this?

Agree about never seeing Watson as jerky. I think in the early books (I think it was Kristy's Big Day or Walking Disaster) that she just called him that without having a reason other than he was marrying her mom and causing changes in her life. She seemed to not want to give him a chance at first but once she did, their relationship started to grow. I love it how the whole family goes to the lake together in this one - even Boo Boo. ;D

I often thought that about Kristy too. She really didn't have a reason to hate Watson, I think she was just afraid of changes in her life. I also agree how it was cool the whole family went together on this one, one of the few trips it seemed like.

This was a really good SS. I agree about liking how the whole family went, even though i do think it was strange Boo Boo went. My favourite bit was the watson/Kristy bit at the end too. I felt bad for Mal, was annoyed by Jessi, and intrigued by Dawn's mystery. I also liked Sam/Stacey:D

I actually really liked Dawn's mystery as well. I am intrigued by ghost stories and mysteries though.

I agree with whoever said it would have been good to have the mystery solved somewhere along the way!

i don't think it is strange that they took boo boo along if he is old and doesn't like people it would make sense not leave him in a kennal and it would also make sense that probably no one would want to come over to look after him

^but all you have to do when you look after a cat is change the food and litter and water. If it's a playful cat, play with it. I don't see why Mrs Porter/Morbidda Destiny or the evil family who now live in the Delaney home or the Papadakis's couldn't have stopped by every day. Also, I find it really hard to believe that Watson doesn't have a housekeeper or a cleaning lady/person.

^ Agree. I almost think taking him would have been more stressful for him than leaving him home.

Depends on the cat, I guess - our current cat, and the cat we just lost last month, are/were great travelers, but the cat I had before this one completely freaked out in the car. Boo Boo doesn't strike me as a cat who would enjoy a car ride, though...

I just finished reading this one for the first time in years. Mallory really can't catch a break, can she?
Andrew is so adorable in this one. In addition to the part where he wakes up Sam, I really liked the chapter where he was giving Claudia all those ideas for decorating the boat.
