They used the treasury to fund pizza parties and their thousands of carnivals/ festivals/ talent shows. I don't imagine the Kid Kits made much of a dent... I don't imagine they'd have to buy things for them all that regularly.

I don't imagine they'd have to buy things for them all that regularly. For that matter, considering their dues were a dollar a week, how were they able to fund Kid-Kits, Charlie's gas money, Claudia's phone bill, all their activities and the occasional pizza party? This goes back to my explanation that Ann Martin used the prices she grew up with in the 60s

Why did the middle school library have Ribsy in its catalog? Amazon lists its grade level as 2-7. That is an enormous age range. It has pictures in it. I actually didn’t read that book until I was an adult, so I wonder what my reaction would have been as a kid. Probably like “oh, good book!” lol.

What did people do with computers back then besides nerdy things and Oregon Trail? I'm sincerely asking, lol. My family was too poor for a computer. Did Claudia buy the family sized versions of all of her snacks? It made it sound like they pigged out at meetings. A bag of chips is like 3/4 air. She had 5-7 pairs of hands digging around in them. They probably got a handful of Doritos and like 5 M & M's at an average meeting. In Kristy's Big Day, Kristy says Claudia opened a big bag of M&M's and everyone took a handful, so I'm assuming she had the "sharing" size or whatever the big bags are called. That's a good point about wondering what size she got. And if she was giving out Devil Dogs or Twinkies, she probably went through an entire box in one meeting since there's only like 8 per box. She must have kept her room really well stocked!

BooBoo was probably really happy that the Brewers got divorced. Lisa took the kids, and BooBoo and Watson were back to the bachelor pad life. Then five strangers and a dog moved in, and he was probably like “never mind, I’ll take the little yellow haired demon back.”
Kind of related, Lisa married two guys with pets, but she never had her own pets. Maybe this woman didn’t even like animals.

Haha, poor Booboo. I saw a post during lockdown about this angry cat, who was used to the quiet during the day and was mad at their family for being around all the time. Booboo probably really appreciated having a mansion to himself during Watson's single years.

I thought my girls would be psyched to see me all day during lockdown, but they looked slightly confused with maybe a touch of resentment. At any rate, they stuck to sister snuggles during the day and human snuggles at night. Lol.
Booboo had to get used to Lisa, then a baby, then a toddler + a baby, then two loud kids. I picture him stretched out on the couch with his paws behind his head the day that Lisa and the kids moved out. Then the Thomas family happened...

Do you think that Kristy had an abnormally long neck? Those turtlenecks had to serve a purpose.
