I think I remember reading that. I was thinking " wow Toby sounded a lot cooler in "Boy crazy Stacey". In the FF book, he just sounded like a nerd.

Doesn't Toby tell Stacey in Stacey and the Boyfriend Trap that it was too bad that they "didn't do anything" while he was visiting her? Boy must have been looking for some action in Stoneybrook.
I love that Ann or which ever ghost writer thought she or he had to have at least one girl fall in love in every Super Special "trip" book. Poor Timothy, Parker, Richie, etc. Is it pretty much established that every BSC member fell in love at least once in the Super Special books?
There was some carry over "relationships" from Super Specials that did not involve trips. I'm thinking of Snowbound, where Price Irving takes Dawn to the dance and she later talks about him in Stacey's Ex-Best Friend. And, of course, BSC at Shadown Lake and Starring the BSC, with Sam and Stacey.
The unlikeliest SS friendships/relationships -- Mr. Staples and Kristy in BS on Board, who really befriends a widower? and Mallory and Toby in Sea City here we come, enough said.

I don't think Mary Anne techinically fell in LUV in any Super Specials, did she? She met Alex in #8, and then met Logan not too long after. I think she might be the only one...good point about AMM/GW needing a romance in every SS!

Parker Harris... and a random kid named Parker Harris shows up in Kristy in Charge and makes fun of Mallory. Brain... breaking...

I loved Claudia's Terry and how he was all into movies and eating snails. I think she needed someone intelligent around him to bring out the best in her, then maybe she would have tried harder in school.

I didn't like Claudia and Terry together; he really WAS wrong for her and I think everyone should have just left her alone and not forced them together.

I found it silly how Stacey went out of her way to do that too, but I liked Terry as a character a lot.

Coby wasn't in a Super Special...he was in "Stacey's Mistake." I don't really have an opinion of him either way because we didn't really get to know him all that well.

Yeah, it's kind of hard to have an opinion of a character who didn't even have any lines.

^ But he wasn't really dating either one of them. I doubt he even realized he was doing anything wrong.
Back to the topic of the thread. I think my favorite Super Special relationship was Claudia and Will, even though they only saw each other twice. Maybe it was all the deep conversations they had.

bringing up an old thread. i really liked michel (kristy's canadian boyfriend) because he can push her buttons. with alan and bart she was able to figure them out and control their relationship to a degree, but with michel she really let her guard down. he was the only guy who wasn't interested in her and she had to work at it. it was fun seeing that side of her. also, i don't like any of dawn's boyfriends. they all seem lame and dorky. didn't they both have gaps in their teeth? maybe i'm making that up.
