Which sitter would you want to sit for you as a kid?

Imagine you're seven or eight. You're a kid in Stoneybrook, and your parents have to go out. They call the Baby-Sitters Club. Which sitter do you pray is free so they'll be the one to sit for you?

Personally, I think I'd like Stacey or Mary Anne, or maybe Mallory. The latter two are probably most in tune with my interests and what I look for in a sitter (especially future author Mallory), and I don't know...I just find Stacey's character to be one of the better sitters.

I don't have anything against the others. I just wouldn't want them to sit for me as much. Abby's personality tends to rub me the wrong way, plus she's a sporty type, not my personality type at all. Kristy, too - she's just too bossy. Claudia and Dawn can both have that problem, too, though it does depend. I might get on with Jessi, but again, it comes down to her just not having much in common with me. Plus she's described as being beautiful and graceful. Jealousy central, even then.

Who would you want to sit for you?

EDIT: I would also have liked Shannon to sit for me at some point if I was at that age. She's cool, even if she is good at everything.

Claudia would be #1 because I love art projects.
Mary Anne, Stacey and Dawn would be next tier because I think they would all be fun without being overbearing.
Kristy and Abby would be at the bottom of the barrel because I am so not a sports person and I would resent my babysitter trying to make me play games when all I wanted to do was read a book.

Hmm I’d say in no particular order: Stacey, Mallory, Shannon, Mary-Anne. I was a reader as a kid and I could relate better to them. Although Stacey just seems like fun.

I'd say Mary Anne because she is the most sensitive and would be the most nurturing, lol.

I think Mary Anne would be the best because the things she enjoys are my favorite activities also (reading, baking, etc). There's one book where she made her own board game and that sounds like a lot of fun. We could have a quiet, cozy day at home and that would be really nice. I would also enjoy Claudia because she would have creative activities and probably the best snacks. Most everyone else would be fine, but I would dread having a sitter like Kristy. She somehow turns every afternoon into a neighborhood-wide sporting event that picks up stray kids as they make their way down the block.

I might pick Claudia because art projects are fun but she might a little insistent on it, lol, judging from that one time where she barreled through with one when Mary Anne already had the kids doing some other activity, lol.

Probably Mary Anne or Stacey would be the most fun and Mary Anne also the most helpful in talking about what problems I had. Although frankly I usually wouldn't mind just watching TV or reading on my own.

Kristy is great in baby-sitting for Karen and I would want her to spend time with me if she was usually like that but she usually wasn't.

I would have been uncomfortable with any of them. I would have needed a more outgoing sitter to make up for my lack of speaking, but not one that was a bit too aggressive like Kristy or Abby. So, maybe Dawn?
