I like Claudia's cactus pillow. Thank God Kristy has her shoes off, but I still wouldn't want my friends crawling all over my bed like that. How many cover updates do these books need? Does Ann think she's Judy Blume now?

I just feel like those solid pastel covers with one picture of like a flip flop or a band-aid or whatever just came out. Now these look like video game avatars of real girls. The last cover of Are You There, God? It’s Me, Margaret that I saw had kind of a cartoon Margaret with God as a text bubble in the corner. It’s funny how things evolve to try to stay relevant.

Kristy looks really pretty here! I love her updated tomboy outfit. But what's up with Stacey's tiny feet? They seem weirdly small.

Those 2010 covers were ridiculous. They should have used poor Hodges' illustrations. They could have even used one of his extra ones for the summer before. Those covers were so unappealing.

I'm curious with the updated covers if they update anything written in the books.

I've got the six books with the updated covers that have come out so far. I haven't read any of them all the way through, so I'm not 100% sure about this, but I have glanced through all of them, and it looks like they have the same text as the 2010 reissues. It looks like any of the text from the original books that was changed in the 2010 issues has been changed in these, too. And all the notebook entries are in "handwriting" fonts like in the 2010 editions, too, which makes me sad. The notebook entries in the original books are images of actually handwritten text. They're not typed in fonts that look like handwriting. I've been listening to the books on Audible, though, and I'm on Kristy and the Snobs now. As far as I can tell, the Audible version of the first eight books have the same changes to the text that the 2010 reissues did, but it doesn't seem that they are going to make any new changes to the audiobooks past #8, since #9, #10, and #11 seem to be exactly the same as the originals. They might still make textual changes to the new print versions of the books past #8 as they are republished, though, as I assume they have a longer period of time to do that than they did to record 131 audiobooks.

Claudia looks almost as formal/demure as Mary Anne on that cover, I initially thought Claudia was Mary Anne, with very dark hair, until I realized Mary Anne was elsewhere with the braids.
