I don't read much BSC fanfic, but I like fanfic in general and I'm open to finding new things (trying to read more and scroll less). There's probably new content out there from fans of the Netflix show.

I consider myself LGBT (I'm pansexual, the gender of my relationship doesn't matter to me as I have dated both girls, transgenders, and boys) and I actually get really upset at the idea of Kristy or any of the girls as lesbians. Being determined to say someone is gay when they are straight is actually disrespectful IMO.

Most people I know came out publicly after that age, so it doesn't seem implausible that one or more could be queer even though they are all straight at the time of the books. I'm guilty of assuming some of them are not straight (Netflix Dawn definitely had an impact in that respect, and Kristy could be ace, etc.).

I understand what you mean, the Netflix characters definitely have their own takes on the series. My transgender boyfriend also came out at a fairly young age, but his parents didn't approve. I wonder how the girl's parents would react if one of the girls WAS LGBT?? I already know MA's dad would flip out lol
