Then she would have kept being on good terms with Jannie and Leslie, but Hannie and Nancy would have considered her a traitor. What if Karen grew distant from her Mom after the death of Grandad Engle because she was shielded from what was going on rather than be straight up with her? She might become more attached to staying with her dad. What if Natalie did go with her parents on their trip for her grandfathers funeral in book 47?

Then Karen would have lost the chance to realize that Natalie is not a "ridiculous nerd" after all just because her socks are droopy. Technically, Natalie's parents should have allowed Natalie to come to her grandad's funeral unless maybe there were a lot of distaught relatives there. What if Ms. Porter was truly a witch and had done a semester abroad at Hogwarts and had gone to a witch/wizard school in New York City? Would you say Karen and her friends then be intrigued and would learn lots about witch/wizard culture and about the persecution of witches in the past, especially the Salem witch trials and the European witch hysteria and burnings?

Then Karen would be in a position to be like "I told you so".
What if Karen flat out refused to go to Pamela's party, much less buy a present and also questioned what's the point going to a party of someone she despises?

Then Karen would be in a position to be like "I told you so." Prolly...then they'd explore the magical world more. What if Karen flat out refused to go to Pamela's party, much less buy a present and also questioned what's the point going to a party of someone she despises? Then she would have missed a fun time. ¤¤¤ What if Karen's mum Lisa had not remarried?

She would have not went and missed out and the party. What if The fun club went on longer then two books?

What if Karen, Hannie and Nancy had become close friends with Susan Felder and visited her school?

They would have each had to learn how to cope with the fact that Susan would always be in a world of her own.
What if Karen had become so deathly afraid of making Grandad cross that she locked herself in her room after school every day?

Grandad would get some much needed rest and live forever.
What if Ms. Colman felt that Karen wasn't ready for 2nd grade after all and suggested she go back where she came from?

Karen would be upset and try to stay in second grade, before realizing that she'd be the smartest first grader and want to stay.
What if Amanda never moved away?

Then we would not have gotten to read the high quality toilet monster story. Amanda's parents would have had a plumber immediately.
What if Lisa and Seth had had a baby?

Then Karen and Andrew would be busy helping Lisa and Seth with the new baby.
What if Karen stayed in Chicago?

I think she would have adapted. She would have added more two-two things to her list. "I live in two states! Two time zones! I have eaten two styles of pizza! I have two baseball teams to cheer for!" Lol, what else could she add?
What if Andrew had been the precociously smart sibling while Karen was seemingly average?

I'm going to answer my own question since nobody else is up for it. I think Karen would have had a very hard time with Andrew skipping a grade and only being one grade behind her. It would make her feel inferior to have her little brother so close to her. She would still have her best friends since they were all neighbors. She would not have her teacher, her husband, or her Two-Two persona (since she heard about that in Ms. Colman's class). I don't think Andrew would change much.
What if Karen decided that nicknames were bad and would only address people by their proper names? What would Kristin, Samuel, Charles, and Hannah do? (I could see this happening, btw. Especially since it was said many times how Andrew did not like to be called Andy.)

I can’t imagine Karen going by Kari.
I feel like it would be a phase that would pass pretty quickly.

What if Amanda and Melody had gotten into a physical altercation after Amanda had seen how much the Korman's had changed her old house in Karen's Bully?
