Yeah, that part was really sweet. And I really liked the part where Elizabeth helped Karen start a "new" day. Me too. That was sweet of Elizabeth. I definitely agree.

Sometimes I feel like i need to crawl into bed and wake up all over again too...I thought that was perfect of Elizabeth to make Karen do so. I will have to remember that for any kids I babysit or my own kids later in life who are having a cranky or bad day.

I was so disappointed when all of Karen's hair had grown back immediately after the hairdo from hell in #8. They should have stretched that out a bit. ;D
I have moments like Karen's day where things that wouldn't normally bother me at all get under my skin because I'm already upset about something else. Like she didn't even like Boo-Boo and would never normally want to play with him.

^ Agree about being more bothered when I'm having a bad day. I can really relate to this book. ;D

I agree with you about things that normally wouldn't bother me, bothering me excessively when I am having a bad day.

^ Me too. It's like the little simple things all compact together to bug you, or something.

That is definitely how it is for me some days. Sometimes all the little things add up and just bothers you ever more.

I know when I have a bad day, things just keep getting worse, like a snowball rolling down hill getting bigger and bigger.

I know when I have a bad day, things just keep getting worse, like a snowball rolling down hill getting bigger and bigger. That is a good analogy to describe it.

Yeah I had a bad day like that last week. It started out with I kept dropping stuff at work in the morning. Then I pinched my finger really badly between two pieces of steel, and then I was cutting something and cut the top of my finger. Then I had to walk home in the pouring rain. Then I made some tea and burnt my mouth on it. At that point I got mad because all of the stuff just added up and so I laid down and read a book for the rest of the night. I was waiting for it to fall apart while I read it.
I felt bad for Hannie though. Karen took out her problems on her just because she and Linnie decided to go biking to the pond and didn't think at first that Karen couldn't go. I'd be mad too if someone called me a toad for that when I was younger. It's like Karen expected Hannie should revolve her plans around Karen.
I liked when Sam and Charlie took her out too. She got excited when one of their friends thought she was twenty-six. That happened to me when I was eight. My Uncle was just in early twenties, I think he was twenty-one like I am now and his friend was asking me if I wanted to go out with them to the bars. And I told him I was only eight, then he said: "Really, I thought you were twenty-eight, I was expecting you to keep an eye on to make sure we didn't do anything bad." I thought that was the best thing anyone could say to me. I think I probably talked about it for weeks that a twenty-one year old thought I was older then him... lol. Bet if someone said that to me now I'd be angry though.

I'm having a terrible day so far, got in a little disagreement with some immature woman at work who has no respect for me at all and had the nerve to say people are saying shi.t about me when I disagreed with something.
Maybe I should pull this book out and read it, I felt so bad for her, but at times she was also being impossible like when she was playing checkers with Kristy, although I loved the part where she went out at night.

This is one that I should bear in mind when my dd is older; when I find myself saying that she got up on the wrong side of the bed maybe I can send her back to bed to begin the day over!
