I loved it! I read it all last night in one sitting. The part with Boo-Boo and Morbidda Destiny cracked me up. Also Sam and Stacey were hilarious. And I also had a good laugh when they were fighting towards the end, and Kristy's commenting on Claudia's rainbow t-shirt.

Morbidda Destiny looks so scary in this, like she's really a witch.

I was flipping through my copy of teh book yesterday and noticed that the picture on the inside cover looked very familiar... then it dawned on me. The girls are in the exact same poses as they are on the original cover from 1986 (US version)...with updated clothing. Stacey on the bed with her right leg bent, left curled, right arm up in some weird pose looking down at Kristy on the floor on her knees. Mary Anne laying on bed looking down at Claudia who is laying down on the floor with phone and notebook nearby. I thought it was a nice touch.

i think that's one of the nicest things about the graphic novels--raina is as big a fan as any of us, i think, so she includes really good details like goobaw sitting in stacey's room in the truth about stacey.

I've never read any of the graphic novels. Is she going to do the whole series?

^ I wish! But Claudia and Mean Janine was the final one.
So, I finally read this one. I've read all the other ones and I loved this one just as much as the rest of them. Kristy's job sitting for Buffy and Pinky was hilarious - I laughed out loud at the illustrations.
Karen and Andrew were very cute in this book, as well.
I have decided that I now want my own copies of all the BSC GN's. As soon as I get some $ saved up I'm going to buy them.

I just got this today and I loved it I'll admit I'm a bit of a comic geek already, so a Babysitter's Club and graphic novel totally appealed to me. I really liked Raina's interpretation, some characters weren't like what I had pictured but I soon got over that. Karen, Andrew and Jamie were all very cute and when Karen is hugging a disgruntled Boo-Boo it looked so funny. While the expressions and characters are cartoon like and humorous in most places Raina also does a good job at expressing the more serious moments like Kristy sitting in her room after her fight with Watson or when she is waiting with her mom before babysitting the Brewer's for the first time. There is so many little details I liked such as having the flier and notebook entries, the picture of Kristy, Mary Anne and Claudia when they were younger, the scene where the Thomas's are hanging around the kitchen Charlie on the phone, Kristy reading and Sam helping David Michael with his homework. I lol'd at Kristy and Mary Anne's flashlight code that look complicated while still not really explaining how it works I'm going to get the other 3 books as soon as possible now, it's a pity there's only 4 I would like to have seen a Dawn book as well.

I could rave on and on about how much I like the graphic novels! This one is so good. Kristy's facial expressions are just perfect - when she finds out she's sitting for dogs, when she is yelling at Watson, when she feels bad about it later... Idk those expressions capture her personality so well. I also like the updates, opening the story up to a new audince, but also obviously created by a fan with attention to details, the core of the story and knowledge of the girls. Plus they look like actual cute 13 year olds! Yay ! I wish there were more than 4 GNs, but I imagine they took ages to create.
