Holy cow...it's seriously been 7 years since they graduated already? I remember reading that book and thinking their date for opening the time capsule seemed so far in the future. Think about how old the clients would be by now!!!! Anywhere between 7-8(the babies) to 17. (the triplets and Jeff) Mal and Jessi would be 18, and the others 20. Its funny that I am now older then the sitters.

Wow, how the heck did I end up the same age as the older girls? Weird, weird, weird. i always strived to be 13 like them. I finally caught up Heh. Funny, those books started the year before I was born I really, really, really want a reunion book. Ann needs to get on that.

I agree, she does. I also wish they would re-issue all the BSC books.

I have been hoping for them to re release The BSC books for years. They have all these other series they seem to re release, I wonder why they haven't for the BSC.

Seriously, at Borders there's a whole section for Goosebumps. What the heck?
An injustice I tell ya....

^No way! In spite of my username, I was more into the BSC than Sweet Valley. I was slightly miffed to notice all the SV books the last time I was at Barnes and Noble, knowing the only BSC anything to be found was a handful of graphic novels.
Then again, Sweet Valley books got pretty soapy; but with all those spinoffs, they did a better job of growing with the audience, I think. The BSC Friends Forever were an attempt that seemed to be too little, too late.

I think if they re released the BSC books they would be surprised at the response they would get. I can see a whole new generation of readers getting into them, and of course I would be there getting my last few missing books.

Look at ff.net and lj and everything... The bsc has a WAY bigger fanbase.

Its hard for me to imagine little girls today reading BSC. I don't know why... they just seem so tame compared to what girls like now. That being said, my niece (I know I've probably mentioned this 41839740318 times!!) is 7 and she loves BSC books. Me and my sister kind of forced them upon her, heh. We started her on LS books when she was 5 and now she borrows my BSC books all the time. I love it! She just read Claudia and Crazy Peaches (she likes all of the 4 original sitters best) and I actually really enjoy asking her about the books after she's read them But I do know that none of her friends read, adn these are the only kids I'm ever around so maybe they aren't an accurate representation (I hope they aren't!) but one of them always says "I don't know why Liliana [my niece] reads... I hate reading! she is always reading!" I tried to get her to take a BSC book too... she refused... Anyway... my point is... I don't remember actually, lol. I wish they'd re-release the series as well, it'd make it easier to find books I need, that's for sure! who decides if they do that anyway? Would they need Ann's permission? I feel like maybe she wouldn't be into that so much

Like when she said she felt she was more well-known for her new books. Hmm don't agree with that one. She let the graphic novels be published though so I don't think she'd have a problem with them rereleasing the series.
My 7 y/o sister only likes books w/merchandise tie-ins. She's not a big reader. I gave her some LS but she was not that interested.

One of my nieces is ten, and when she was visiting us some time ago, I tried to introduce her to my BSC books. She pronounced them "super boring"

Aww! How sad. I would definitely have a hard time seeing my younger female relatives be interested in these books as well. I'd love it if they rereleased the series and we could see them in stores again. I guess it's not very likely.
